Jab_n17
Anyone able to give an explanation as to why it has been shut down? maybe some sane person has come to the conclusion it's all doom and gloom and decided to close it down or realized FB is just s$$t anyway
Gringo
No doom or gloom on there today, everyone was in agreement that we played ok today. Prob shaded the first half.
I am Spartacus
Seems to me that there has be a ball of a revolution of the fb group. Pity as there is a silent majority on there who support the club and then there is a vocal minority who are having digs as they have lost there perks. Oh well as I said it is a new ball game there. upthegate
It needed a revolution, the "click" didnt allow any negative comments even when being constructive. Thankfully that seems to be changing.
I am Spartacus
But the "click" is still there BUT now they are running it. Posts are only allowed now if they are anti MFC so you should join in and enjoy Derek.

Gringo
Back in now, thought it was closed down altogether. Good to see people having a laugh instead of bitching at eachother from behind their keyboards.
Coffin Ender
Not a big fan of Facebook per se. It's fine if you like videos of cats playing the piano, I suppose. How many MFC FB groups/pages are there now? There's the official one, the one we're talking about, is JJ's one still going? I know the history one has stopped. Plus there's supposedly a 'secret' group for our special fans.
Gringo
Im no fan of Facebook, only joined it to see some MFC discussion. As the forums are rarely used now days. Im only in the one group, used to be on JJ's on my old account. Not fussed about the secret group, rather read varying views on a game whether i agree or disagree with them. michael
should we use this or margatefns site more then if we want more than a one line discussion littered with swear words. its up to us surely. similarly ,not a fan of fb-but i do go on there so cannot be hypocritical, and just because its not exactly my cup of horlicks. does not make me right-and i understand that for others its an ideal medium. i do find it a bit strange that the club opt to put so much info on there, and thus indirectly support the swearing/cats videos/drinking culture.there again,i'm just a boring old fxxt, stuck in a time warp;and everyone to their own. if i was an adolescent still (i wish ) i'd be exactly the same we all have a choice

Coffin Ender
I have no problem with the swearing, sticks and stones. You do get different perspectives on FB, for example there are lots of the youth team parents on there. On a 'normal' fans forum you probably wouldn't have learned so much, if anything, about the issue with the youth team kits. The downside is that there are lots of women who want to be nice to everyone rather than actually giving an opinion and not giving a stuff about the consequences. As a result the threads are either aggy or trivial. Nothing's perfect I suppose. Anyway, it's nice that this place is still going.
I am Spartacus
So are you saying that this is the discussion group for the more 'mature' male supporter.

I am Spartacus
My mate on the fb group (I am not a member of it) says that they are moaning that there is nothing to moan about. Sums them up really a load of old balls whitewash on there.
