Saturday 12th September

Recommended Posts

No mate, staying out of politics these days and concentrating on football. Some things will never change but if you can learn to accept that fact, you can move on. I'm very happy be part of Gavin's management team and am enjoying it immensely. That's as far as it goes for me these days. Got more important things in life to worry about!

Let the Hertford committee decide what they wanna do about Saturday. Be careful what you wish for though. You might be better off settling for a point in the long run. A replayed game could be disastrous!!!

Rule 8.11.2

Any club altering its team selection or numbering after Team Sheets have been exchanged may be fined. A Player who is named on the Team Sheet may be replaced without fine if he is injured warming up after the exchange of the Team Sheet. Any subsequent changes must be notified to the referee and to a representative of the opponents before the actual kick off.

Many a time a player has been replaced after the official team sheet exchange.

The scenario presented here is a breach of Rule.

I've been on a game where an un-named substitute came on. Manager had him named on his pad. Club Secretary had not put him on the team sheet. Assistant Referee messed up on the substitution and allowed him on. Clear breach of Laws of the Game.

Opposing Club declined to lodge a protest in this case.

And before you ask, I was not dealing with the substitutions that day.  :P

Why not just lodge your complaint with the league ,sounds cut and dried Colney were obviously trying to pull a stroke by not declaring Armitt before the game, but trying to use the old Indian trick of slipping him in without you knowing, are you sure the team sheet was altered before kick off Saturday ?

Yep. His name was on the original list, then crossed out and replaced by another player, then submitted to the officials in that order.

Then played, scored and subbed at HT.

Suspiscious that no teamsheet has been submitted to the FA website . . .
