v Dorking Wanderers (FA cup)

I think Saturday is going to a real toughie. Dorking are flying and will be full of confidence with the knowledge they're underdogs so will play with freedom. Whilst we'll be under pressure after tonight's result. Should make for a great cup tie just hope we show enough desire and skill to get through.

OK, we will have a different starting 11 compared to tonight, so in theory tonight's performance should have no bearing on the outcome of Saturday's FA cup game.

What's guaranteed is that all the Dorking players will be fired up and busting a gut to beat a team from a higher division.

If we don't match their desire and as a consequence our performance levels dip then we are in for a tough afternoon.

I hope we have Guy Hollis for Saturday. Him and Macca will be a big boost.

Regardless of tonight's result, we will be a different side on Saturday and have big game players to get the right result but if we haven't got Guy, we could be in trouble, as who's going to partner Macca.

At this moment we are certainly desperate for reinforcements in central defence.

Lets hope the gaffers can get someone in on a dual registration PDQ.

Forget about the fact that we are in the premier division and Dorking are in the Ryman 1st division.

Dorking Wanderers are 8 places below us in the pyramid, second in the table and unbeaten this season.

They have some good blend of young and experienced players who know how to win and score goals i.e. Phil Page who only a couple of seasons ago was Farnborough's top scorer.

It's a one off game and the team on the day that applies themselves the better will win.

Yes, I just read their website and it seems they've built up a real head of steam and certainly have the upper hand of momentum going into the game.

However, Cirencester were unbeaten and we done them only last Saturday and we are usually a better proposition away from home, so the game should be a real humdinger.

3 Spirit Just for the record Cirencester were not unbeaten when we played them. They lost at home to Kings Lynn and hadn't played any team in the top 10. Theirs was a false position and I don't expect them to be challenging towards the seasons end .

Apologies for getting my facts wrong, so what you saying IrishAdrian?  Slough's got no chance of winning against Dorking, I don't believe that to be true.

It won't be easy to beat them and I'm expecting a close game but I have faith that we can turn them over on their own patch.

Nearly all of our players have played in bigger games than this one. So let's look at it optimistically rather than pessimistically.
