urchinman1961
Having to earn our one nil lead in the first half Redbridge hadn't turned up to make up the numbers but second half we were different gravy complete onslaught and some superb saves kept the score to six good workout before our biggest game of the season this coming Saturday also fair play for the people who bothered to turn up as regards the England game being on 147 ? that's 50 more than when we beat Whitam in the Ryman Prem
cup of tea
Agree with all of that, their goalkeeper was a man on a mission tonight- some outstanding saves in the second half. Played the better football than Redbridge first half but couldn't get going - have to give Redbridge credit for that. Goal difference is looking good, looking in good shape. Decent performances all around. No complaints at all. Credit to the 3 or 4 Redbridge fans who tried to make a bit of noise tonight.
Robh 1962
Can't believe I left with 10 minutes to go as with son on school night. It was 3-0 then
Eastside Urchin
I said this half way through last season when others were get the their knickers in a twist at the thought of going down, that it would be the best thing for us. As a club we were plodding along nicely but it had gone stale,we took things for granted and were just happy to be a ryman prem club,we went down and people feared the worst but it's never that bad and we seem to be playing with freedom and we have a team that could no doubt do damage in the ryman premier of we do go back up. Eastside Urchin
Was there really 147 there tonight??? That's a decent attendance considering. I turned up for a beer around 25 mins after the end but was surprised to see no one really there
cup of tea
Retaining the core of the side, especially George and getting David Knight in along with the likes of Abs Thompson and Calvin Poku has I think made us a better side. We're scoring more freely and there's been some good defending at the other end. Be nice to get a decent cup run but Saturday won't be easy. 1961 COYS
Another good performance from the boys, took a little time to get going but George and knighty seem to be developing a good partnership. The defence look solid wth Jed settling in well at left back. Tobi gives 100% and never stops trying, onwards and upwards. COYU
jammyboy
Good start to the season and the pitch is looking super - what have they done?
shrimper
147 was a very good turn out as we only been in the 160s on saturdays this season the big diference this season is that we have at last replaced tam with abs last season someone really running down the wing and tormenting the defence was missing , so we ended up with long ball tatics time after time now with a better surface too and abs on form the play is much better to watch
bridgefan
crowd was 149 - just saying
Eastside Urchin
Yeah just saw that,it's a very good crowd considering, shows we are back on the up,I think that in the league above and last year we would of struggled to get over 100 for a similar game. The club and its fans must not rest on our laurels,it's understandable that in the last couple of years since the conference south relegation that people have felt a bit down, partly because of football and results but also off field things that have happened. We now have an opportunity to build up the support and galvanise the local population into believing this club can go places again.
