Jhai has agreed to stay at Slough Town, he was going to play in a county cup game for H&Y tonight, however I understand he asked their manager where he saw his future and he could not give Jhai the answer he wanted, and with that in mind he just wants to feel settled, and has therefore opted to stay with us.

Good stuff, although circumstances have been such that I've yet to see him turn out for the Rebels yet. Still, he's got rave reviews from everyone Slough fan whose opinion I value so glad to have him on board permanently and looking forward to seeing him in action on Saturday.

Perhaps next season, we may be able to get Paul Stonehouse as well, if he becomes surplus to Oxford City's requirements, to shore up the left side with Paul, Jhai and Lewis vying for places. All three are adaptable, good footballers and enhance the way we play.

Hopefully, then will not have the problems we've had this season on the left.

Nice idea but in reality keeping all three happy would be a near impossibility.

I'd be more than happy with Putts and either Stoney or Jhai.

I'd be more than happy with any two out of the three.

Don't agree, Reading Rebel, to progress this squad you need to match or attract better players to it.

A squad is about having cover for various places. Paul Stonehouse looks like captain material to me and would get into the best teams in this division. If he became available we should snap him up, then worry how we fit him into the team !

Jhai Dhillon could easily play in front of Stonehouse,as a winger with defensive capabilities. Something Lewis struggles with. He also offers us cover for injuries and can do the left back position in his own right.

What better way for competition for places?

Jhai's mobility/skill/speed offers his ability to play in central midfield, too, if needed.

Also being that he is Asian, I would have thought he would be well worth holding onto for when we get a ground back at Slough, as we will be needing to attract more support and need to find a way to tap in to the Asian community in Slough, to raise the profile of the club.

Keeping players happy is a juggling act no matter what personnel are in your squad.
