littlehampton
Really looking forward to seeing and hearing all you Towners down this way tomorrow afternoon when we play our old friends Bognor at Nyewood Lane. The Rocks have a lovely ground, superb pitch, and excellent facilities. We always get a warm welcome from Mr Bognor (Jack Pearce) and crew, and looking at current form and present League positions, they will definitely fancy their chances tomorrow with home advantage. Over the years, we have had some great matches with Bognor, but in the past couple of seasons they have had the better of things down here on the south coast.Early season form is very unpredictable, and often the form book goes out of the window and there are plenty of surprise results. Bognor are a good side, but Town are much better than their results to date show. With new signings, and players back from injury, hopefully we will give The Rocks a hard game tomorrow and, with a little bit of luck, who knows,, we might just upset the odds.Best of luck to Brad and the lads. Let's go for it guys!'COME ON YOU TOWN'

littlehampton
Towners who made the long journey down to the south coast today saw a highly entertaining match, and a fine battling performance from the Enfield team. The match was very close, and Town came very close to winning it, but Bognor scored late in the game, and over ninety minutes a draw was probably a fair result. Very well done to Brad and his players, who can look forward to better days ahead.
1F in Enfield
Yeah well done Brad and the boys. Something to build on and a shame not to get 3 points. Pleased to see Devyne returning to his scoring ways!

Steph
Offside???? I was in line with the linesman and the back number 8, miles away from Devyne and, apparently, dreaming. For he played Devyne onside and whilst the centre half was moaning like fury number 8 kept his mouth shut as he knew that it was his fault. OldTowner
Even more annoying when you read the Bognor match report, which confirms a "deflected" shot ( which was off target ) goes in off Ricky G.. Seems to be our luck at the moment ! Onwards and Upwards.
littlehampton
Steve, can fully understand your disappointment that we conceded a very late goal, and dropped two precious points, when it looked like we would hold on for a win. For Towners not at the match, it might seem like more poor defending. It wasn't, there was a very crowded penalty box, a number of attempts to clear / shots on goal, all a bit manic, and sadly, from our point of view, they squeezed the ball into the net, albeit from a deflection. You could feel the deep sigh of relief from the home crowd. They expected to win this match, but they didn't, and that is down to the commitment and team spirit shown yesterday by Brad's players. We still have key players missing, and a couple of new signings, who when available will, hopefully, push us on from where we left off at Bognor.Let's remember we have lost at Bognor for the past couple of seasons. We didn't yesterday. That should give everyone a lift for the next couple of away fixtures.Keep the faith!
