B&B cup

You need to get along to a youth game?

Why EpicRebel? Are they that poor.

In the past I've watched a lot of youth football. Must admit not a lot, of late, though.

If not youth, what about Academy players?

I wasn't expecting the players to fight for every ball like in a proper FA Cup match but there needs to be leadership and desire, in a match where players should be trying to win over the managers, to be involved in the Dorking match.

I don't think making 7 changes by the management had anything to do with losing. Apart from the odd one or two, the rest are better players than Burnham but they didn't show it.

It's certainly not the end of our season by being knocked out such a minor honour but on the night it was embarrassing to be beaten by our local rivals, in such a manner.

Anyway, the Berks and Bucks Cup is over for another season. I don't know why we don't field a mixture of hungry Slough youth players and a few of our experienced heads in it next season, in an effort to bring the youth through. I'm sure we would have had a better offering than we got from many 1st teamers last night.

Supporters pay good money and the minimum they should expect is for players to 'fight for every ball', it's called being a winner.

As you say the players who were brought in for last night game should been busting a gut to impress.

Saturday is an important  game for us in terms of the prize money at stake.

Berks and Bucks Cup is meaningless, we are better off out of it as with a small squad

the last thing we need is more games.

Whole-heartedly agree with your sentiments about what is most Important ,Windsor Rebel, but if the Berks and Bucks Cup is meaningless, we might as well play the game behind closed doors and not charge fans to watch !

Nobody seems to be bothered about these minor cups until they get to, at least, the semi's anyway.

However, if you do win it, it can make your season, if you haven't done anything in the league.

Like when Eddie Denton's Slough side beat Hampton for the Bryco Cup, as was.

This picture sums up last night https://www.flickr.com/photos/horshamrebel/21255907092/in/album-72157656058745463/

Its Luke Williams being handed MoM by Paul Lillywhite.

They both look so embarrassed to have to do it. Luke Williams didn't play badly tbf and he did save a penalty. (The three goals were hard to save with two being crosses to the back post and the third being a two on one)

Does every game have a man of the match trophy?  How much are those trophies?

Regardless of the price, seems a waste of money, if they are presented at every game.

Last night, there was a lot of candidates for the booby prize ! lol !

Trophy will cost around £10 but I am fairly sure they are paid for by the match day sponsor and they are the ones who pick and present it to the player.

There's a clue in the name ;)

Man of the Match

However bad the game, there has to be one player that played better (or not as bad) as the other ones in the mind of the match sponsor.

And yes, the match sponsor may pick a different person to who you think, as the person standing next to you might.

Seems budget cuts, broken promises and guarantees to the players (again) has forced Mark Tallentire to resign.

Looks like Burnham has become a real poison challis for any prospective new manager.

What a laughing stock that club has become. I thought Burnham had turned the corner with the appointment of Mark Tallentire, in terms of working to a steady budget and bringing some much needed stability to the job. Seems I was wrong.

Haven't they heard of the expression 'cutting their cloth accordingly' !
