Thought he was outstanding yesterday. Dominated the midfield with his clever distribution. My only complaint was the tendency to overplay in the last fifteen, particlulary when Westy was sent up front. At that stage the crosses should have come in much earlier.

Very, very unfortunate and the arrogance of the ref was outrageous.

The man's a "midfield dynamo"; but all the team played their part, but of special significance for me was Ollie's performance. Just a shame that the BBC highlights showed his one "mistake".

I think Ollie done very well but seemed to slip a couple of times and gave the ball away. He was, however, absolute quality when Westy pushed up. I think he was carrying an injury too- he squeeled (again)and pulled up when stretching for a ball near the end of the match.

Yeah, he wasn't the only one to slip up.

I noticed our guys were a bit prone to slipping during the Canvey match too. They have got their screw-ins in, aint they?

But as Global (I think) said on a different board; he thought Ollie was not having a good game. He was at the NorthBank end of the terraces. We were at the SouthBank and for that half at least he defended bloody well.

When he pulled up quick (yeah he did moan) he was making a last ditch tackle, and possibly saved a cert goal chance. But all the fellas played well.

I'd nominate Johnny Martin for November's Fans' Player of the Month Award; if it were instituted of course.

I also noticed alot of players slipping all over the place on Saturday, wrong studs methinks! Shame that Ref didn't slip and give himself a broken leg. Bone sticking out the ankle and all that!

No - wasn't me saying anything bad about Ollie at all. I think Canvey were just way better that day.

 

The only thing I really think the team need to work on is set pieces - I said this before the tranmere game. Lads need to think about how they are going to use a throw in to attack, when on the edge of the opposition box, rather than tamely concede posession as we have done on a noticeable basis.

 

But that is the only thing I can find fault with.

 

I didn't notice much slipping after the first 5-10 mins to be honest
