Mack Chinnon
An interesting set of figures, Tel. But maybe more so in December, when the darker season is upon us. Good see that C&H are attracting good crowds. Nice people, a difficult place to get games on when the weather is poor, but a welcome addition to the CCL Premier Division. And, of course, ATFC have a firm fan base, and very welcoming. The 'Saints' of West London?
Big J R
I find the Dorking Wanderers Reserves figures very interesting !

lazarus
Although we like to record attendances in the League, they are tenuous at best. Some clubs possibly exaggerate them because they don't like to declare a low figure whilst others sometimes seem to reduce them. Also the official figure is meant to include everyone watching the match (excluding people on the benches) not just those who have paid. Despite reminders to that effect over several seasons, I am not sure that every club has taken that on board. On the other side of the coin, I do know of one club playing in the Ryman League who told me once they always sent in a true figure but included absolutely everyone including the tea bar staff which is possibly going too far. The only possible reason for deliberately stating a lower figure would be in competitions such as the FA Cup and FA Vase in an attempt to rob the visiting team of the rightful amount of money due to them. I am sure the FA though would stamp on that very hard if it could be proved.

Rother
Casting no aspertions on anyone or any club.... surely we all know that if a club makes a decision to pay players in brown envelopes then understating the attendance by 50 each week is likely to assist in achieving that aim. Tel
Understating attendances only really matters to the away club in the F A completions there the gate money taken after expenditure is split, when a crowd of well over a thousand is reduced by a lot more than 50 does it make a difference, YES it does. Firstly if CCL Clubs were to under estimate their crowds by 50,most would have minus crowd figures. Secondly Windsor are not known for having a massive Away following. Thirdly you being a Windsor fan for many a year, would of had first hand knowledge,of the days of the BROWN ENVELOPE,did not do them any good, you must agree. Rother
Not sure what you were getting at with the second point but I'll just say that although Windsor may not have a massive away following it is far and away the biggest in the current CCL. Hmm I think we at Guildford will give you a fair run for your money. Given we have been near the foot of the table for much of the last 12 months our away support has been fantastic.... and loud. Quite often we have numbered more than 50% of the total attendance. I'm not saying Windsor don't have a larger travelling support but to say it's "far and away the biggest in the CCL" is dubious in the extreme. Rother
Yeah, Guildford have been good too. Of last season's away games where both Windsor's and Guildford's gates were recorded, ours show 1508 and yours show 1327. That would suggest 30 to 40% more Windsor away fans than Guildford - maybe not "far and away the biggest" but a fair margin... (But I have to say that our numbers may be dwindling slightly at the moment...)
