All step 5 v step 4 games with lots of SSMFL at home. I reckon definately at least 1 or 2 shocks here.

Most definite. Must fancy Tring and Wembley against poor Southern League teams. London Colney in with a chance.

If Bigglewade can live up to the hype maybe a chance but Chalfont have 2 very pacey forwards.

No reason why Hoddesdon and WGC can't progress.

Tough one's for Berko and St Mags though.

Not a great day for us (Totternhoe). Stoney never an easy place to go on the nicest of days. We were poor, we had a lot of players missing and made a lot of changes, but still had a more than good enough squad. Thought the ref was poor and the penalty should've been given offside.

Their manager is hard work, I'm sure he means well, but even his players were sick of his voice and they were constantly argueing with him.

A bad day for us. Need a win.

Haha - on a match day I am sure Gary can be "an acquired taste" for opposition. Believe it or not, the players do respect and like him both on and off the field.

Good point for stony against a side which put 6 past us 10 days ago. Think I need to miss more games at this rate!!

Hale leys 4 v Old Bradwell Utd 0

From the start Hale dominated the first half with 2 goals within the first 15 minutes. The 3rd goal just before half time was from a defenders header which was a classic finishing in the top corner . Bradwell came out the 2nd half and managed to peg back the attacking force of Hale and created a couple of chances for themselves, although Hale had as many chances to put the game to bed. Hales 4th was a terrible mix up between defender and keeper, would need a replay to describe how this happened, a uncontested ball running through to the keeper with a defender rear guarding but the ball just slipped past the keeper towards goal. A running in Hale forward managed to get to the ball but it may have already crossed the goal line.

The referee was pretty poor with decision making and even overruling the assistants on the line.

Amerste, we heard the Hale keeper made an outrageous save. Can you confirm?

I can confirm that this keeper made 2 outstanding saves, 1 of them was a double save. If it was televised it would have shown over and over again.

was a great game. Joe croft played another blinding game. i queried the linesman at the time and the ref after the game as to his decision, as i was unclear as i was standing pretty much next to the lines man and there was no contact. as the ref stated it was for the challenge itself being dangerous not so much "contact" the theatrical dramatics of the abbey player (who was sprinting about a few minutes later). bar that, it was a good game.
