Sorry I forgot that we are only allowed to post positive comments and wear rose tinted glasses, and factual statistics don't come into it.

It will be alright at the end of the season when we end up in a relegation position, we can go to the league and say we had lots of bad luck and injuries, and they will say that we can stay up because they are kind and like puppies and fluffy day old chicks.

The playing personnel might have changed a fair bit in that time but the management team has remained constant in these 26 games and that seems quite enough to make a valid assessment of their performance.

Forget the fact that everyone likes them, and their open lines of communication are refreshing... Are they really shaping up to your expectations?

I actually understand where Rebel1965 is coming from. Likewise, I am concerned of our form in the 2nd part of last season. Why did it drop off so poorly? Couldnt call it a slight dip in form could we, it was half a season.

I never expected us to win the league or get into the play offs this / next season, consolidation for a few seasons is all I am expecting (even when we go into our new stadium).

I do think some fans expectations are way too high. There are some 'established' sides in this league which we at this moment in time, cannot touch. Its all about learning about the league surely and playing within our budget.

Rebel1965 is like the rest of us, a fan who wants the best for the club, wants us to be in THIS league when we move into our new stadium and just happens to be one who is open with his comments, which I personally respect.

The start of the season (whether it be injuries, ref decisions, luck etc etc)... as a fan, also concerns me.

We can talk the talk for so long, but will come a time we need to walk the walk (which, as everyone is saying, lets pick up again after 15 games).

COYR.

Maybe 7 games in is too early for fundamental changes but equally, you want to see signs that we are moving forward in some way. Have we really improved at all since the form we showed in the latter part of last season?

Expectations were, that we would have a few more points, than we currently have but surely player circumstances have hampered us somewhat in this department.

I have every faith that if we can get our best players on the pitch most weeks, we will climb the table.

How anyone can knock Bakes and Unders in the two and a bit seasons they've been at Slough, are nuts and totally unrealistic.

They are not perfect but they are miles ahead of Steve Bateman and so many of the other so called managers we've had of the past.

People need to get real, we are not going to win the title this year and it is going to be a tall order to get in the top 8 but anywhere higher than where we finished last season is progression.

I also think we will be able to build a formidable team, if we give our managers time.

I'd say yes.

The last part of last season was pretty poor. This season apart from the Biggleswade game where most of the goals conceded were individual errors, I think we have played pretty well in all the other games.

No one likes to make or hear excuses but we really are having some bad luck at the moment with injuries etc, with two more injuries picked up today.

We are only 6 games into the season and I think already some of us need a reality check.

I agree with what you say 3spirit.

Personally, at this moment in time, I'm not too worried with progression as long as we stabilise i.e. stay in this division until we are in our own ground, will do for me.

It's hard to judge when we cannot get a settled side out. By my reckoning we've had seven different players start at centre half this season. There can't be many other teams in the country that have had to deal with that.

7 games in and,,,,,,,,so far

Gurkan, Warren, Billy, Gary, James, Dan, Adrian, Luke, Adam, Craig Jakex2, Edx2, Mark.     Injuries

Lewis, Stuart, and of cause Guy ,.,. other reasons

That's 16 players are,,,, were,,,, have been out so far this season, out of a playing squad of 24 and 2 of them are Keepers (not including Neil, Oscar or Wes)

Only 1 has played in all 7

What do people expect.

They're shaping up a lot better than Mick Woodham ! lol !

That's all we need, Rother, a Windsor fan stirring the pot.

I suggest you worry about how your club is 'shaping up' at Step 5 !  :D

Lot of time for our management and think they have done a great job. Let's remember that all the "established" clubs in this league have their own ground and therefore their own "income". With what (I expect) is one of the smaller budgets on the league we have a decent team. Just clear of relegation would suit me fine this season. My concern is (and I didn't see biggy or Poole games) is I feel we haven't come up agains any "top" teams in this league...the likes of Merthyr st newts or Kettering

Results seem a bit topsy turvy at the moment with Cirencester turning over Merthyr and sitting at the top with Chippenham.

Perhaps when the squad factor comes into play things might settle down.

I forgot Nathan on the injury list so 17 players out of 24.

And the main one is Trent he'll be out the whole season after pulling a pint.
