Full time

Oxhey Jets 1 London Colney 5

Bet this was a good game to watch. London Colney are on fire their are a good few top teams in the Premier Division this season the title race should be interesting.

A rare win for Colney Heath and also Ampthill Town this eve.

Hats off to Mick over at London Tigers, win, lose or draw always has a smile on his face.

Football at this level would die if it wasn't for people like him.

An Armitt hat trick against his former club adding salt to the wound.

That is a shame. Jets are a great ssml club, but they've never been able to accept something that happens a lot in non league football - players leaving the club. Whether it be for more money, a higher level, family circumstances, age, etc, they just don't like it.

I know if I was still playing I wouldn't turn down £80 a week and a genuine chance of promotion.

Jets are a good club, and while you are obviously  fishing , London Colney  would not be paying Lee Armitt or  anyone  else £80 a week and that  is  a fact.

RH do you know where Tom Kennedy? Terry Smith? and Ian Bywater? are playing at the mo?

I see Tom Inch has returned to Oxhey Jets FC.

Where are the Oxhey Jets goals going to come from this season?

Many Thanks!

I'm not 100%, I overheard someone at jets saying they wanted to get I.Bywater back, but that he said he had "fallen out of love with the game". And I think I heard that smith and kennedy were still on holiday, possibly traveling or something along those lines.

Think Jets' goals will come from Timmy O'Mara, a player London Colney were also interested in. When he's there, he'll score, he just sometimes struggles to make every game through other commitments.

And re L.Armitt: I'm not one to stir the pot, but that figure was told to a jets player from the horse's mouth, unless he's telling tall tales. It's always strange when clubs with money deny it, you're telling me he just fancied a change and left? Why would he leave his local club, playing with all his mates, run of the clubhouse, guaranteed start every week, no need train, etc, to go to a team in the same league? I'll tell you why, a nice bit of money from a club who want promotion. Is there anything wrong with that from either party? In my opinion - no.

But the same old question is raised, is the clubs paying the money or managers etc

Do we really care - every club should be allowed to get on with playing football and not be subject to others trying to stir things by questioning their finances

I am not privy to individual salaries but yes I do know the manager has been given a budget - again am not privy to the amount.

Hopefully this will end the rumours as to our financial status
