FF News
Rossington Main manager Lee Holmes has added to his backroom staff by bringing in Phil Blunt as an assistant and coach. He will work alongside current assistant Andy Cowe and goalkeeping coach Jordan Wildey. Blunt was at Leeds United and Sheffield United as a youngster before going on to captain Great Britain at university level. Unfortunately, his subsequent years were hampered by injury and he struggled to finish a season. He had a short stint with Rotherham United and since then played at non-league level with Farsley AFC, Brodsworth Welfare, Silkstone, Worksop Town and Rossington. He is now eager to get back into football in a player/coach/managerial capacity and Rossington seems to be the perfect opportunity for him to fulfil this next step in his career. Blunt said: "I have never been out of football and have experienced all facets of the game at most levels and think that I have a lot to offer in all areas of the club." He has also signed player registration forms and will look to influence his experience on the young Rossington squad.
