A Rebel and a Saint
We've been asked to pass on a bit of information to anyone who is looking to use the bar before the match at Stratford on Saturday. www.sloughtownsupporterstrust.co.uk/news for the details. Reading Rebel
We are without Billy Jeffries, Jamie McClurg, Craig Scott, Jake Parsons, Ed Smith, and Charlie Mpi. We are up against an unbeaten and buoyant Stratford team but I have a feeling we will get something from this game. COYR!!

Sir Rebel1965
Gifted the goal to them in the opening minutes - must switch on from the whistle. Improved through the game but far to many "hit a lobbed ball forward and hope" passes to players who cant head or were not there. Communication in the back four was poor and players going on holiday for pre-season and the start of the season will not help this. Our best player was Fraser who worked hard defending with little support, and made some very good runs forward and got the ball into the box well. The 4-3-3 did not work as we were far to narrow and failed to defend attacks. Got away with a point, but we made it hard for ourselves at the start. As the bard would have said "it was nearing the hour of five and thy wishing away of the daylight, cost the dearly"
GlenSTFC
Sounded like from Twitter we dominated the second half and a point was more than deserved, would that seem fair to those that went? We're Stratford deserving of their 100% record, can anyone see them being up there come the seasons end?
staines_rebel_Jr
Finished 1-1 with Scott Harris getting a last second equaliser after Stratford scored in the opening minutes of the match. We started 4-3-3 with no wide players, we were very narrow and often ran out of space in the middle, Stratford on the other hand played with width and dominated the first half and deserved the half time lead. Second half we played 4-4-2 from kick off which everyone behind the goal had been calling for for much of the first half. We dominated almost all of the second half and created several chances which were wasted with terrible finishing, not sure we hit the target with many of them. Stratford were happy to foul and waste as much time as possible. This came back to bite them in the a*** as Slough had a 95th minute corner which keeper mark Scott came up for, Scott was pulled down at the front post with the ball going over his head and scrambled in by Scott Harris for a well deserved equaliser and big roar from the Slough faithful. Jake Parsons came on second half but was subbed off ten minutes later so must assume he is injured and could be, put for a while. Leaving us with only one fit winger in the squad. 4-3-3 with no wingers doesn't work. Henry was partly dropped due to him not helping in defence, well today we had no wingers to help in defence and so Stratford ha d 2 on 1 on the wings for the whole first half. Ian
Sounded like from Twitter we dominated the second half and a point was more than deserved, would that seem fair to those that went? We're Stratford deserving of their 100% record, can anyone see them being up there come the seasons end? Whilst we had possession I thought our play was terrible, especially in the opponent's half. Too many hit and hope balls into space or easy pickings for their centre backs. Had we not got anything I dont think we could have complained. Sean Fraser and Lewis Putman were the only performances worth mentioning for me of the outfield players. Stratford won't finish the table very high. They showed little attacking intent in the second half and had they done so I think they'd have won the game easily.
Irishadrian
Its pointless to speculate about where teams will finish after a few games The FootballWebPages site always runs a final prediction table as well as the current table Stratford according to their algorithms will finish mid table We will be relegated having won just one game all season|| Utter absolute nonsense and a waste of time for those who prepare them and those who read them imo. GlenSTFC
So if Stratford thrashed us 7-0 today and were absolutely brilliant you wouldn't think they could well win the league or be at least top 5? Or had we beaten Frome 5-0 and thought they were shocking, most could argue they'd struggle and could well be relegated?
Windsor Rebel
I thought we were well worth the draw today. Stratford had a couple of pacy forwards who were drawing our defenders out during the first 20 minutes, however once we settled down we were more than a match for Stratford. Not that many clear cut chances for either side, they scored and hit the post first half but created little in the second period. We took a while getting the goal, but it was just reward for our work rate in the second period. Went home happy. If you consider Stratford have won their first two, then this is a good result. Reading Rebel
Slow out of the blocks and were caught cold in the first minute mainly because out midfield didn't do their job and let a Stratford player run through the center unchallenged. Worked our way back into the game and had a couple of decent chances especially Wazza's glancing header which was just wide. Having said that Stratford had the better of the chances and only Mark Scott in goal saved us from being 2 or 3 down at half time. Second half was a different story where we completely dominated the half without really creating any clear cut chances. With Stratford still dangerous on the break again Mark Scott came to our rescue on a couple of occasions. My only slight concerns were that we only had one effort on target all game also the amount of possession that we had in the second half we really should have created a lot more chances. Great effort and well done to the players for a thoroughly deserved point. My MOTM was Mark Scott. COYR!!
RebelDelaney
I,m with you RR Mark Scott was superb again. I said after the Wealdstone game that he will gain us much needed points this season and he has done that in two games already. COYREBELS
jonblack
At least we tried until untill the end.But to me the whole system is wrong,we should be concentrating on a tight defence before going gung ho, from what we have seen so far gung ho not working in this league.
