We do too it was just a bad night at the office, we would have been sitting here a lot happier if we had what we deserved from the first 2 games which was 3 points, yet we only have the one.

However putting a positive slant on it, 2 years ago we picked up one point from our first two games and 4 from our first 4 games yet still got promoted

Can't win them all but you can lose when not good enough.Be interesting to understand the theory of a proven goal scorer like Putman spending his time on the wing and on the bench, he won't score many from those positions.

Hopefully just one of those days but we MUST learn from this.

 

Not many if any sides will waste chances if we make these sorts of mistakes. My main fear is the game played out pretty much the same way that a few games did towards the end of last season with us dominating the play early on not really creating or taking our chances and then falling behind with a flurry of goals not just one. 

 

I appreciate options are quite scarce with injuries etc and in fairness I didn't see any fan really angered by the performance other than the obvious inevitable frustration as we know the team can perform a lot better. 

 

Hopefully the disappointment can inspire a much better performance and we have a lot of games ahead to put it right

I'm not bothered by the result last night. We knew beforehand that we had our work cut out, given the players available but what is a bit puzzling is why we opted to play a 4-3-3 from the start.

 

Knowing that we had only one proper centre half and starting with a new right back and not much cover on the left,weren't we asking for trouble straight away. 

I thought we were trying to tighten up our all round defensive fragilities, not let them come loose.

Don't get me wrong I love seeing attack minded sides and 4-3-3 is great to watch when done right but as our squad is still getting to know one another and it is so early in the season, a 4-5-1 or our usual 4-4-2 surely would have been a better option for only our second game of the season, when we knew beforehand that key personnel were missing.

 

Having said all this, had we won the game, I/we would be lauding the managers for such adventure .Also at times, trying new things helps in the long run, by getting to know what players can do and what they can't do. 

Early days, so no worries just yet.  

 

Just hope Gary McDonald is fit and ready to play, as he is going to be important for Saturday's game.

Can only think of sharif, wheeler or dobbo.

 

Can't see it being a striker and only a winger. All others I can think of from recently wouldn't be suitable unless I'm missing someone glaringly obvious

Sharif is starting and playing for Hemel. Wheeler came from Godalming and I think our Managers signed Dobbo.

With such a crop of new faces , especially mid-field options, it is tough for the managers to decide what is the best team, especially with injury complications............but they darent take too long to decide !

must be pulling the hair out of the managers at the moment oh he;s done that to one already.

He has and is such a big experienced player for us but when is he going to learn and stop making

rash stupid tackles when things don.t go right for him.

We were lucky not to have been 2-nil and ten men it is a team game and he.s going to let his team mates

as well as fans down by getting sent off sooner rather than later there will be a rucass with the opposition

and a 3 match ban.

I know strikers are greedy for goals and understand that, but he should of passed to Putts on saturday been one up ?

and 3 points ? on the board.

Sticking up a little for ED here,

 

Last season there was 3 players with worse record than ED, all 3 had games out because of the suspensions. There was 4 others that were suspended over last season.

 

ED was never suspended or red carded last season.

Gotta stick up for ed we all make mistakes and I wanted to slap the rugby keeper as much as any one else! Yes he's hot headed and loses it sometimes but he has a lot of passion and puts his heart into the game! The only down side is he breaks easily! At least can apologize not a lot of men know how to do it

His passion/aggression just shows he is desperate to score as many goals as possible which is only good for us as long as he keeps himself on the pitch and available for selection.

I was looking straight at incident and had to turn away as I could see what was going to happen.

It depends how you construe passion I guess. I would call numerous late tackles cowardly and babyish
