I expect loads will jump on the bandwagon, if/when we get a new ground.

Think there was 150 last season, which I think is good, considering the size of our average attendance.

This season so far, 32 have joined [Wealdstone friendly].

We had 106 members last season, which is the first time the 100 barrier has been broken in probably 10 years. Obviously given how easy it can be to get random followers twitter numbers is not really representitive of much. Only 70 people like the page on Facebook.

I agree RR people should join the Trust if they are at all associated with the Club. One of the main concerns raised to me when I joined the board was that the person in question did not see the Trust doing things beyond being on the shirt. With the new website and Twitter & Facebook pages, I believe that I've improved that dramatically over the last year.

For those not convinced, don't forget the Trust has done plenty:

Agreed a £3k back of the shirts sponsor deal with the club

Started sponsoring Rebels Radio and provided a web page for it

Linked with the prediction league and provided a web page for it

Been heavily involved with the promotion activities in Slough and a couple of local primary schools, with another one to come at the polish club next month

Created a method of joining online via PayPal (you don't need a PayPal account to join)

And of course it provides most of the match day volunteers from the Trust board members and all the away travel for supporters.

So why not join? It's only £10 a year.

Shameless plug over.

I'd be genuinely interested to hear why someone wouldn't join the Trust (beyond "I can't afford it")

Sorry ARAAS, thought we had reached the 150 mark. Still, least the Trust is growing.

I think some supporters think that they can't see the point or that they think it's too cliquey or that they only want to be watching the football and can't be bothered with events, community stuff etc.

Fact of life is most people are too busy to do anything !

I can't profess myself to being an active member of the Trust [yet? or maybe never !] but I do appreciate the efforts of all that do, who do it for the cause.

Where would the club be without it's stalwarts?

I'm not asking everyone to be active members, but by paying the £10, even if you do nothing else, it helps towards the cost of away travel (sometimes), the events like the prize draws and presentations and the community events, and all the support the club gets from the trust.

Well there you go 3spirit now there's absolutely no excuse not to hand over a mere £10 and for that you help the club out without having to commit to any helping or attending any events! I think any fan who can attend the majority of games can afford £10, those who say they can't I'm afraid is an excuse.

A small article to encourage you to join our esteemed Trust (also appearing into tonights programme) http://sloughtownsoapbox.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/supporting-trust.html?m=1

 WELL SAID WARREN,

Also would like to add, when we move to OUR new ground this will take a BIG effort from the supporters with help moving and money for replacing stuff (just a guess as I don't know what will be there) ie Supporters hut, tables, chairs, supporters notice boards and of cause the main thing £5 million in the bank (well I can dream).

SO PLEASE Join the Trust all the £10's (and £5's) will help.

With the Junior membership not only do they get the coach discount they get a Slough Town card on their Birthday and Christmas. And if funds allow (and Pepe) an Easter Egg.
