What IS happening at Windsor ?

Taken from the Combined Counties web-site.

"Windsor FC have lost the services of both Aaron Minhas and James Quinn just nine days before the start of the new season. Minhas, who signed in March 2013, has signed for Southern League Division 1 Central side Beaconsfield SYCOB. He made over 90 appearances scoring 8 goals including the eventual winner in last seasons Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy Final. Quinn, who signed in September 2013, is jetting of to the USA to take up a sports scholarship which could last anything from 1 to 4 years. He made over 70 appearances netting 4 times. The club would like to wish both players well for their new challenges."

A  bit tragic just before the season opens.

Comments, anyone ??

Players come and players go John.

They'll be fine and it's not as though the two players have left for a similar standard rival which would be more concerning.

Obviously we hope it takes them until Sunday before they are able to replace them :)

Don't worry John we'll be all right. LOL.

As Rich says, players will come and go and we move on regardless.  Our manager will now have to pluck some new names from obscurity and turn them into players that higher clubs will poach or same level teams will offer silly money to lure them away !!!!

I can also add that Kane Jones has gone to Burnham and Jamie Di Giuseppe won't feature much this season due to family business committments coupled with Kyle Jeffreys missing a chunk of the season due to an impending knee op so we have effectively lost half of our first team from last season !

Can we integrate that many new faces and mount a challenge ?  Only time will tell but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see most of the departed players back in Windsor colours before Christmas !!!!

Personally, I rather hope not.

Forget the talent we've lost it was rather refreshing to see Windsor play without some of the petulance, time wasting, back chat and stupidity which have become an irritatingly regular feature of performances in recent times.

(That applies to some, not all, of the departed.)

An interesting discussion on the present state of Windsor.

Maybe this should be opened up on your own Windsor site on this forum.

Just a thought though.

Good news that we won't have to duck to avoid Kane Jones flung discarded shirt when he's subbed before being sent off this season then Rother ;) . The kid's got ability but his attitude is very poor

First friendly he really looked to be struggling for fitness but seems to be improving with every game.

We have lacked height / muscle up front to get on the end of crosses for years so although he's not going to set the world alight I think he will do ok.
