On the back of the Non League paper it said that Peter Smith had left Canvey , if that is the case who has he signed for ? .... any idea's or have the NLP Got there facts wrong again ? ... I WONDER

The Non Leaqgue Paper website had this story in midweek -

 

"Following hot on the heels of the departures of Mark Stimson and Peter Smith, Ryman League Premier Division runners-up Canvey Island have now lost the services of highly-influential and experienced midfielder Steve Tilson."

Just looked at the site and there was pictures of Wayne Vaughan , Peter Smith and Mark Stimson , so i guess these 3 have gone 2 grays , plus tilley going to Southend as No 2

Grays haven't signed Vaughan (yet!). The want Gary Abbott first, but see Vaughan as a target for next season.

 

Grays always get the Canvey rejects! ;-) Sussex, Cooper, Brazier, Stimson & Smith!!! Who do we get in return...... f**king Wardy!!!

Poor Buzz, only just returned full match fitness after last season's serious shoulder injury and now he's gone!!!

 

It will be quite hard to replace him now, how he saved us against Northampton & Gravesend and his cracking goal against Port Vale will be long remembered.

 

Good luck Smithy, just have an off-day against us!!!

Being a sarcastic PE Teacher I love the use of irony!!

As for my sunbathing, now that's a different matter. JK and myself will be too busy battering the Vietnamese and the Indonesians. Unlike JK, I'll be strictly doing the business on the pitch!!!!
