Well done Urchins

Listen, Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will a nationwide league team from Hornchurch be.

I too think that Canvey Island will be the team going to the conference but 2 consecutive promotions surely represents that fact that Hornchurch are going in the right direction.

As for Ollie, he was outstanding!! How can anyone say he had a bad game??

To be honest if anyone was a slight dissapointment, it had to be Keeling in my opinion.

Not at all young UB <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Just enjoying a debate with our kindly Tranmere visitor, who seems a little lacking in the old footy knowledge. Unfortunately though, the gent seems intent on nothing but a cheap wind up, surely to god no one is expected to take his comments seriously. Ignore the irritant and hopefully he'll go away!

I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

I thought ollie was solid. Especially when coping on his own at the back when west pushed up.

Agree with you Raver, and so did our crowd of 6 after the match. Ollie was impecable. Just one mistake which happened to be shown on TV.
He was quality, strong clean tackles, got to the ball first, and (as you say) when Westy pushed up he held our back line together.
I think some people's judgement on Ollie's performance might be clouded by the fact that Tranmere did not threaten us as much as one would expect from a team several divisions higher than us.

Sorry Mal, but me and the crowd who were right next to me (Terraces past the 1/2 way line)saw everything that happened in our own half for the first half and we all said the same..about 10 of us...maybe we saw things you didnt??

anyway..its just opinions..This is not a dig at him as I believe him to be a fantastic defender and I couldnt fault his commitment or heart..just saw him making some rudimentary (did I say that long word?) mistakes early on and as I said, he did pick his game up later on so fair play to him for being able to do that.

I suppose we all saw different things from different angles depending where we were sitting/standing.As Raver pointed out he thought JK didnt have such a good game, whereas I thought he really raised his WHOLE game and never stopped working..just different views I suppose, although I think we all agree that the whole team played exceptionally well as a unit, largely down to MR GB (we're not worthy!) and the coaching staff so, well done to ya!!

Just want to make it clear that I am in no way dissapointed in our boys , in fact, I am proud of 'em...ALL of 'em.
