After a prolonged absence.....

I'm back!

Can't remember the last time I posted on the Not the ETFC Forum but it has to be 4 or 5 years ago at least.

I've kept up with a peripheral interest in ETFC comings and goings though a subscription to the ETFC news letter.

Not sure if any of you blokes are the guys I spoke with before your move to QE2?

I was teaching High School in Wagga Wagga Australia and am now retired and living in Canberra.

I've always liked the idea that ETFC is a supporter owned club as is the case in our local leagues here in Canberra.

My team Gungahlin United find themselves in Canberra's Premier League for the first time this season and have found themselves one win away from the Final 32 in Australias version of the FA Cup...the FFA Cup.

Looking forward to following ETFC in the upcoming Ryman League.

What are ETFC's prospects for this season?

Which opposition clubs will prove the hardest to beat?

I'm still here Mick, good to have you back.

Looking promising for this season, provided that we can replace the players we lost over the summer.

Reckon Dulwich, Kingstonian, Grays, Hendon and Staines will be up there with us

Stay in touch

G'day fellas!

Had a look at the line up for the coming season and it looks interesting.

You guys just missed out on the play offs last season and if I've read the results correctly beat both teams that were promoted!!!

A huge coincidence the other day:

I contact you blokes and check out the Draw for this season.

I see a promoted team is Brentford Town.

Check the mail that day and a cousin from my mother's side of the family(Western Australia) sends me a copy of the Family Tree she is putting together.

Appears that the Kings(Mothers maiden name) came to Australia(no..not as convicts..they are on the other side of the family) from...yes...Brentford, Essex.

Looks like I'll be barracking against my old home town.

Hope this doesn't burst your coincidence 'bubble', but I believe its actually BrentWOOD Town.

Gave me a moment of doubt there CC..went and checked and Brentwood  it is!

The coincidence lives!

Given the fact that the free settlers from Brentwood hooked up with the exiled male line of the family I guess it could all be questioned.

Football wise..99000+ attended a Friendly in Melbourne last night between Real Madrid and Manchester City....RM 4 d MC 1.

Manchester City own Melbourne City in the A-League.
