Reading Rebel
Have to say IMO this is a really great signing. I've only seen Callum play once in the friendly against Farnborough but for me he stood out as an exceptional player with a lot of ability. Well done to the gaffers in what I see as a real coup. Mr Rebel
Add Webb to the ever expanding list of brothers at the club. Webb parsons Harris and of course 2 non related scott's means the fans will need to use a lot of first name references in the coming season Not seen either Webb play but both sound like promising additions
C'est la vie
I have also been impressed with Callum and he looks to be a decent footballer. Composed on the ball and has shown some nice touches. I think the summer pitches will really suit him but on the winter pitches it will tell us alot more about him.
GlenSTFC
Only seen Callum play against Farnborough in which he did well but let's remember the quality of opposition. How did he fare against a much better team in Hayes & Yeading United? I think it's sensible to reserve judgement until the league starts and see how Callum (and others so just so no one thinks I'm picking on him!) performs. But from that one game he seems to be a calm, composed player who shows promise.
HEAVY TRUCKER
seen callum play in both friendlies an excellent addition well done the management.
Graham Cox
As I said after the game on Saturday, he was always finding time and space, as well as the right pass, so a great signing for the bosses.
3spirit
I agree with Glen STFC. Far too early to say how good he is and what his best position will be but as we've signed him,our managers must have seen enough to think he's worth a chance in our squad, which is fair enough. I like the idea that he can play on the left, too, which is ideal as he can cover for the evergreen Ryan Parsons, as well as Sean Fraser [if he stays with us?],so could be a useful acquisition. Think it goes, though, that it is what he does in league games and not what he does in meaningless friendlies, that counts!

onegolfer
I really hope he does stay with us (SF) as I am looking forward to the partnership of him and W Harris again. They help take defences apart when they played together. We missed that combination last year!
Neil Baker
I really hope he does stay with us (SF) as I am looking forward to the partnership of him and W Harris again. They help take defences apart when they played together. We missed that combination last year! Sean will be staying with us, still a big part of our plans even with the signing of Callum, he is back from holiday/work tomorrow and will be back in the squad for the game against Burnham. Matt
Good news - big fan of Sean Fraser and would hate for him to miss out - often Mr. Dependable for us last season.
michaelSTFC
Doesn't look good for Billy Jeffreys, with Foulser, MacDonald, Craig Scott and Guy Hollis signed up for the season.
3spirit
I really hope he does stay with us (SF) as I am looking forward to the partnership of him and W Harris again. They help take defences apart when they played together. We missed that combination last year! We're spoilt for choice on the right side with many of our players being able to slot into the right back position and a few alternatives on the right wing, which can only be a good thing. As good as Wazza and Sean are, I wouldn't say either player is guaranteed a place. Of course, we all hope that Wazza is back to how he was, when he was tearing teams apart in the Central division, and that his wizardry lights up the Premier division but we have healthy options to him as well, which shouldn't be taken for granted. I feel Sean has a big season ahead, too. He is still young and learning the right back position. He had his work cut out last season but will be better for the experience but he's no Simon Sweeney just yet ie not allowing the attacker to get by him. Something Simon did to aplomb. That said Sean's got a good engine and IMO if he grows in confidence and improves his positioning and his all round game, he's sure to be a regular for years to come. 3spirit
Doesn't look good for Billy Jeffreys, with Foulser, MacDonald, Craig Scott and Guy Hollis signed up for the season. Long way to go......and we haven't even seen Craig Scott in action yet. I'm more worried about Adam Foulser's injury. He seems to be having a lot of setbacks which is a real bummer for him and us fans.He doesn't deserve such rotten luck. Billy Jeffery's is no mug but he does need to improve on last seasons performances.Don't know if he was carrying injury niggles. Perhaps with different personnel and maybe a different formation,he can put in the effort to win us fans around and show us the quality player we heard about from his time with Hampton and Ashford.Let's hope so. Our managers must have faith in him otherwise he wouldn't still be here.
Reading Rebel
Don't you think you're being a bit OTT ? ! 3spirit, Callum has spent 3 years in Millwall's under 21's and was given a years contract by Millwall. Also, Bakes has seen him play before this season started and was really impressed. So it might have sounded a bit over the top but on closer inspection maybe not. I think everyone would agree that some players, for one reason or another, didn't have the best of seasons. I think Sean, by his own admission, would say that he didn't have the best of seasons for us.

We have plenty of options at centre back not to take any chances with Adams injury that might put him out for the rest of the coming season. We have so many options in defence especially at centre back that every defender is going to have to prove he is worth a place in the squad. I hope he is successful and proves to be a winner but let's wait and see.I just thought the way you phrased it sounded like we had signed a seasoned pro or semi pro, that's all.
