Whyteleafe (away) cancelled

As per the main website, myself and Jon have decided to cancel the above game, main reason is with a number of players still away and a couple unavailable we would be going there with a very small squad of 13, and at this stage do not want to flog any of the players, as that is when you pick up injuries.

However we would not have cancelled the game unless we had something sorted for Whyteleafe, as that would not be fair to do so close to the game, however I spoke with Steve King this morning from Whitehawk who were looking for a game, and they are happy to take this over, and Whyteleafe are also happy with this.

It means that we can train tonight and regroup this weekend for the game on Tuesday at Burnham.

Sounds sensible to me.

Looking forward to Burnham already.

Bakes, will we look for another friendly, when most of the players are back or not bother?

I'd expect you'll find more out tonight but how is Gurkan Gokmen from his injury on Tuesday.I thought he did well to trap the ball with his chest and was desperately unlucky to get that injury. He was having a decent enough game before he had to come off.

Doesn't seem to have an awful lot of luck, does he ? !

Nope wont be looking at another friendly, as we already had 3 more booked in than we did last year, so we are still 2 more, and therefore have plenty of games.

In terms of the pub I would love too however I am at a friends wedding in the evening in Sunningdale, and need to be there for a 6.30 start (for the speeches) so would have been cutting it fine with the game anyway. ;)

Nice if you could get a game at Whyteleafe.

I see they've just had their lights up-graded.
