The penalty, was never a penalty, the striker made well to much of it.

Actually, I was right behind the goal and it definately did NOT look like a push. I checked with my lot and they said the same.

As for the penalty decision, I wasn't at that end, but others from down that end said it WAS.

Well, we may feel somewhat robbed of this match. Everyone agreed that from the second half (at least) Tranmere loooked like a bunch of cloggers and Hx looked the higher-placed league team.

There you go. Shi7 happens!!! That's footie.

Whatever anyone may think, I reckon that everyone should be proud of our lads, and I'm sure that some Tranmere players would agree. (Didn't bring myself to talk to Pineapple Head after the match to ask him)

Wasnt just the disallowed goal..his performance on the whole was complete toilet.

All I can say is I feel better knowing that our boys did us proud against supposedly "better" opposition. You would have thought that we were both in the same league wouldn't you?

Whatever, we did not, and I believe even the most passionate Tranny fan would agree, deserve to lose...we didnt lose to Tranmere, we lost to the referee..well done ref..hope you feel proud!

Yeah, but Dad..if that goal had counted then the complexion of the game would have changed. As it was we were denied a clear goal and then went and conceded a stupid one straight after.

But I 110% agree, we were the better team and we lost it to the ref. (toilet, pants, blah blah)

Then again, we are England supporters (&West Ham many of us) and we should be used to this kind of unfairness by now!! The Ref declined to have a drink in the bar, I understand. I didn't see him anyway.

P.S. Sven's problems on the Left Side are all in the MIND. We don't have a problem if we open our eyes. JK would be great in that position though!!

Listened to the first half on the radio and have to agree the ref sounded a complete muppet who had absolutely no grip on the game. He was making stupid decisions against both sides. The dissallowed goal and the penalty appeal have already been mentioned but what about his decision to move a freekick from a backpass forward several yards? That gave you absolutely no advantage!

 

Hard luck lads. It sounded as if you really gave it your all and were unlucky not to get something out of it.

That's right. Westy had it all worked out, and then the Ref moved the ball. But then again..(to be honest) the offense did take place where he moved the ball to, so the ref might not have been wrong on this one instance. The rules originally stated that the ball had to be placed on the 6yd line in such instances, but did change. But agree with ya'....by keeping it on the 6 yd line we had a better advantage than where it was eventually put.

Well I have to say that Canvey are still the best side we have had at our place.

 

Fact is, if you are tripped in the box, you are tripped in the box, it's a penalty regardless of how the player falls.

 

Surely the offence is for the trip, & trust me there was a trip - I was bang in line & facing the incident - rather than how a player lands after being tripped.

 

And I saw nothing wrong with the way he went down. He was tripped after all....

B4 you say anything, I was at the game and thought you were very unlucky, but do not accuse the ref of being biased. He was just totally inept!

 

Or do you refuse to accept the "back pass" decision in the first half?

 

If our strikers could hit it that hard, I'd be happy.
