Other highlights – David Knight ran through (35m) but his shot was well saved by the home keeper. Leon Smith fired a free kick, on the edge of the area, over the bar (75m) A Billy Coyne free kick, just outside the area, hit the wall and cannoned back (77m). Dagger03 Posted July 11, 2015 Author Share Posted July 11, 2015 Yes, it did appear to go over the bar by quite a margin. it also looked offside. I was not sure if the referee was going to give offside or a goal kick, but he solved the problem by awarding a goal. I think the lack of a linesman may have contributed to the confusion. But from where I was standing, the ball did not go into the net. Ilford were somewhat reluctant to restart the match, but we confirmed the score at the interval with the referee.
