Statement from the Ryman League today

The Football Association has today (Thursday) confirmed that Farnborough FC's appeal against the decision of the Board of Directors of the Ryman League to require a £30,000 bond to be paid has been dismissed.

The Club has been given seven days to make the payment and in the meantime the Club's fixtures remain suspended by The FA.

The Club forfeited its appeal fee and was ordered to pay £500 costs to The FA.

The Board do not intend to make a further statement until the bond has been paid.

You really couldn't make it up what's going on at Farnborough.

Seems the Ryman League dismissed their appeal against the 30K Bond adding another £500 administration fine.

Farnborough then immediately pay the 30K Bond only to find that the Ryman League have charged Farnborough for altering the terms of their CVA without notifying them.

Their next 2 matches have been postponed until the league decide what punishment to dish out to Farnborough.

Pardon the pun but it does seem that both sides [spencer Day/Rob Prince/Farnborough FC versus FA/Ryman League] keep moving the goalposts.

What a mess the whole affair has become.

Goes to show how easy it is, to ruin a non-league football club or on the  other hand, how hard it is to run one properly !

Thank God, our club is the best it's been for a long time and seems on firmer ground but who knows what will happen in the future ?

Great news for Farnborough fans in that they have been given the go ahead to start their league program this Saturday.

The bad news is that they will be automatically relegated at the end of the season unless they stump up 1.25 Million.

Unless something unforeseen happens there looks to be literally nothing to play for this season.

I think everyone connected with Farnborough will have been told to check the lining of their pockets. It's a hellava lot of dosh to find in one season.

Seems the forced payment of the £1.25M debt may be deemed illegal by the club, as they are legally out of debt with the CVA all paid off, or so they are likely to say.

Whereas the people who are still owed will say otherwise, as they club will still be in debt to them.

This still has a few years to go before this is all settled

Lets hope the F.A. get it sorted quickly then.  It's already been going on for far too long.  Mind you, the 'legal-eagles' will be loving it.  Loads of dosh for them !!
