Sounds like some very promising and experienced signings. Really looking forward to seeing them in action with our current group of players and how that pans out over pre season and the start of the new season.

The only thought that occurs is we may be short on the wing, are Gokmen and/or Henry likely to return?

On paper i think we've got the signings bang on, obviously the real test is on the pitch but a great mix of talent and experience in those new players.

Both Chris Henry and Gurkan are back training with us, plus we have a fit Warren Harris and Jake Parsons.

Well we are currently looking at 22, however that will be cut as we get towards the start of the season, but we want to be in a position whereby we start the season as strong as we can.

Great signings on the face of it...........especially like the thought of MacDonald in view of what we saw of him last pre season.

 

Sad that we will lose some of last years squad to reduce overall numbers...........whoever goes, it will upset some fans.

Good to see the squad get freshened up and also good to hear Wazza is back in full training, he'll be like having a new signing too.

Too be honest,I'm a bit under-whelmed by the signings.However,that's not to say they are not good ones,before anyone starts having a go at me. 

 

Lewis Putman is the high point for me but like all five signings will have go some way of proving it.

 

Didn't think we needed a new keeper but it will certainly get Luke Williams fired up to keep his place,which is a positive.

Liked Nathan Webb when I've seen him, and Gary McDonald could be what we are looking for,in what we missed when Dave Woozley left.

 

As for the Marlow player,Craig Scott,comes to us highly rated albeit from the Central division level which seems like another punt,as we did last time out with Tom Moran,which was relatively successful,so worth another crack with this bloke. 

 

..........but where are the ex-Maidenhead players?  I thought we may have had a coup from there.So that is where my disappointment comes from.

 

Still I'm not despondent when you look at our entire squad and who's managing us!

3spirit you have to be mindful of what our budget can stretch to. We can go and bring in top Conference players like in the past, whilst without our own ground finances are understandably tight. Not sure about anyone else but these were the type of signings I was hoping for, obviously we should stay a little cautious until we see them play!

Agree that we are not going to be big spenders in our league and we have to expect budget restraint but I just thought that we may have pushed the boat out for a top drawer centre half and perhaps saved a few bob on a second keeper but this is purely an observation/my thinking rather than any criticism of the current signings.  

 

Bakes and Unders know what they are doing.I have trust in them,so that's what matters to me.

As Bakes has said we currently will start with 22 for pre-season and they will be whittled down to whatever figure they want to run with.

 

This season was never about a big re-build. It's just a freshen up and to add to the strength in depth of the squad,which our managers have done with their five signings.
