Big J R
I've always thought this festival was getting lower and lower. I take it back ! WOW. I've just watched the closing act from the pyramid stage. WOW ! Lional Ritchie. WOW !!! The most incredible closing act from Glastonbury ever. WOW !!!!! (Just for the record, it was Lional Richie's birthday on 20th June.) He is 66 years old. (Really puts things into perspective and makes our so called pop stars of today, boy bands, girl bands and the like look really sad !)
OD's
Remember seeing the Commodores back in the 70's and just as good then as now.
Sir Rebel1965
Lionel Ritchie was just for the wrinklies like you JR, Just had Paul Weller do some proper rock music, unlike the boy Kanye West who ever he is, who thinks his recycling of other peoples music is the greatest - knob. OD's
Paul Weller was superb as well. Don't forget he was around in the 70's as well.
cup of tea
Kayne West was rubbish, don't think he typified the spirit of Glastonbury at all.
Rhodes
The most incredible closing act from Glastonbury ever. Are you talking about The Who, actually I wasn't that impressed
Big J R
I didn't see The Who's set, but I was told in my local yesterday afternoon that they were average to poor. Daltrey's voice has gone, allegedly. No - I was refererring to Lionel Richie.
Eastside Urchin
Went to see the Who on Friday at Hyde park, think they played somewhere else Saturday night as well. I thought they were great on Friday but on Sunday they looked average in terms of I thought they looked drained, especially Daltrey, but at 70 years old I am surprised they made it to Sunday after the Set they put on on Friday. It was the first time I had seen them live,I'm not a massive fan but I have always listened to their stuff and I was expecting to see a way past it band trying to keep u with the and their youth but far from it,yes they did sound older but they still had it and I wouldn't of put them a day past 45 years old in terms of how I've seen other bands age in the way they play. Weller was the same,a bit younger I know but you wouldn't guess he was in the twilight years of his career

romford boy
I used to see The Who at the old Ilford Palais before they were famous and they was amazing even then. Bet live acts ever IMO has to be Neil Sedaka, and the Beach Boys who as far as I know have never played at Glastonbury.
Eastside Urchin
I thought the beach boys did a few years back
Rhodes
It was just Brian Wilson and he brought the house down:
Big J R
I think there are only two of the original Beach Boys still alive.. Brian Wilson is still charismatic, even though years of abuse have taken their toll of his health.
