A win on saturday helpped out and points this week with Cheshunt playing GRW could help even more to move us away from the bottom.

 

Going up would depend on how much the supporters could raise to keep things going, we may need more than we have just to stay still in DIV 1.

Div 1 North is not a nice place and not an easy place to get out of, once you drop you assume everything is so easy and simple. It's not, it takes 2 seasons to get back, I think we might get back in the hunt with our recent good form but it is going to be really hard work.

 

I would really be surprised to see St Albans go down, but I thought we might just have enough to survive last year, it wasn't to be though, never employ Colin Lippiatt, the managers fking awful, I'd bring back Bob tommorow, mind you Steve Bateman's doing ok for us now.

I reckon Bob is responsible for our current position. It all went wrong once Garry Hill left. Bob blew the budget big time but didn't get the success that would be expected. Then he went and from there it's all been down hill. The club nearly went bust, and now it looks like the current administration are reducing the budget to match the gate receipts, which is the start of a downward spiral to division 1.

 

We all think we are a big club that won't go down. The club doesn't seem to be trying to resolve the problem possibly for that reason.

 

Perhaps a relegation would wake up those that have their heads in the sand.

Bob was generally ok with money if given firm guidance, he could spend a lot more without, he didn't harm our cause. After all the men on our board gave him the budget and if they didn't want to pay all they had to do was tell them

Thinking about it, Robbo's team achieved more last season. I think we were second when he left.

On the other hand, Garry Hill, so I'm reliably informed argued over £5 a week with one player for 2 hours before said player signed at the lower rate. Top man was Mr. Hill.

first north - Colin Lippiatt and different chairman are the two key reasons I would say, I honestly wouldn't put it down to Bob.

Same happened at Aylesbury in 1999/2000 the season after he left. They finished 2nd in 98/99 and were relegated the season after.
