George Purcell has signed forms for his third season as an Urchin and he will be partnered up front by Dave Knight after we agreed terms for his transfer from Wingate & Finchley.

Which means, folks, that our promotion bid will be spearheaded by two of the top three scorers in the Premier last season: Knight scored 31 league and cup goals, GP 27.

We can probably afford to let in a few at the other end but, just to be on the safe side, Sam Mott has also re-signed.

best news for a long while  some fans  from the previous club george played for seemed  to think at the time  that as soon as he got a better offer george would be away from the urchins as well but  a few years on now , and  he has been very loyal despite the troubles going on around him and has worked very hard for the team  a hornchurch legend

I truly believe that as a club we are going forward despite the setback from last season.

Let's get the service into the strikers and then see what happens from there, it could be an exciting season.

David knight is a quality striker if he stays for the season you have a real chance of promotion (as long as he doesn't throw his toys out of the pram )!!!
