Well indeed. And what's that about not shooting the messenger? I was always taught to keep interview questions as open as possible so as not to steer people towards particular answers. All things considered, I'd guess that most people would say they're reasonably happy with what they're doing, but would be tempted to look twice if a decent offer came in at a later date. Except for me of course. I'm just happy serving my country during the day and my club during all my other waking hours.

See Mark Graham got a good write up for the Hornchurch game, Nic McDonnell scored two for Carshalton and did I see Matt Glynn scoring for the ducks a couple of weeks ago.

Graham Tomlinson was described as "the besy player I've ever seen in a Bedford shirt" by Bald Eagle.

 

So why do these players suddenly become crap when they arrive here and then great again when they go?

I think Castle can sort it out but he is running out of time, this squad needs at least two or three new players, not on loan, and about 2 months to gel...dicey stuff and i am not optimistic because as the gates fall so does our ability to attract anyone decent. It started wrong and i said so back in August,no midfield hub, no left back, and after a month no goalkeeper...what do you expect ?

You not wrong there. George & Billy have got the Carshalton boys playing some good football. They've just signed the lad Danny Bolt from Sutton and he did ever so well against Braintree on Saturday - marshalled the midfield. Braintree worked hard and could've got something out of the game, but I suppose Carshalton deserved their win, just. Carshalton are not a top three side by accident.

 

Now then ... 4-0 at home to Hendon - that's just not good enough is it! And I notice that the crowds have dropped below that psychological 300 barrier. I'm not gloating (Braintree are down there too) but looking at your next four matches (Carsh, Ford, Ayles, Hitch) I just don't see where your next three points are coming from. (But then Braintree play Canvey tomorrow night!)

 

What's the SP with Simon Martin, is he 'back on board' now or still on the list? I always thought he would be good for 20-25 goals a season in a City shirt. Not sure that Mr Castle has got the contacts to do the biz in the Ryman. Anyway - good luck lads & looking forward to seeing you all in Feb (well, all of you with one or two exceptions!)
