Without a contract a league form is pretty useless anyway as the only protection it gives you is 7 days? So doesn't matter if a player is unveiled now (hint, hint Neil!) or at the first league game they can easily move or be swayed by another club!

That's why I asked about the 7 day approach. If that doesn't kick in there's nothing stopping players going from club to club once a day.

I'm not questioning their virtue,or yours come to that, I just can't fathom what the big secret is, in who we've released unless,of course,the players in question haven't been told,which I would have thought unlikely.

 

Just thought I'd raise the point,as this football forum is struggling to find anything Slough football related, to talk about but perhaps some want us to go back to those dark days of chinese whispers,cloak and dagger,and only a few knowing anything!

The players who are leaving us will be looking for new clubs and some will quite possibly have already found a new club, so whilst I agree that I can't see the point of not knowing who's leaving from last seasons squad, I think we have to respect our managers wishes and the way they like to do things.

Fully aware of that all I'm saying is that 'update' report in the papers isn't really much of an update. All it told me is the managers will underplay the teams chances this season.
