with league games being thin on the ground and home league games being rarer than a wardy goal we now (thanks to the 'iron' switch) have 5 in 13 days.. 3 of em at home.. tho on paper they look easier than our recent run of games we all know that counts for sh.t..

we did really well through the tricky november games ending with a point at hornchurch.. lets hope jeff can get the same effort from the lads for this little run of games, ending with a juicy friday night clash at home to stortford.. would be great to go into the riccay game on the back of an extended unbeaten run..

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!

i suppose they want to get as many in as poss while the weather is still relativly ok.. 46 game season this year so if all these 5 go off as scheduled we will be exactly half way through the season before we go to blunts wall road on boxing day.. this should hopefully leave some room for a trophy run if we can negotiate farnboro.. also the team has had 2 weeks now with no midweek games so they should be feeling fresh n raring to go ..

lets get at the ford nice n early

job done in the first of the 5 game run.. nothing to special against a useful ford outfit.. typical big at the back fiesty in midfield fast up front essex outfit.. we were good for the win without ever getting into the groove.. i can see ford causing a few teams some problems this season.. their manager was mildly amusing having attempted to be a george borg clone but not quite pulling it off..

ford got away with a lot of niggly stuff and j.k. copped a lot of it coming off in the second half .. junior took a classy third goal ..cool as you like.. braintree on tuesday.. any chance of ollie and gav getting a game against them?

keep it going yellows, its early days but the points are mounting up nicely

He did have a start against Windsor & Eton, and scored. Played well too, better than Greggors I think.

Maybe its saying something?

He played in place of Lee that game..

Maybe we should think of a permanent start for Junior and bench Greggors for a bit. (No doubt i'll get some bitching for this comment <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />)

'Spoilt for choice' so to speak; its good to have these players in the wings they all keep each other on their toes. Mind I thought it a bit of a wind-up for some when Duffers has been out of training for a week with flu and then walks straight back into the team, thats the time when a player should be given ample time to get over an illness and another has a chance to prove themselves!

up to the 'iron' tomorrow night .. i think hayes are at thurrock , which is a tough place to go anytime, let alone on a freezing tuesday night, a draw there will do nicely..

lets hope the lads can get into what is usually a very well organised braintree team and get us those 3 valuable points to keep the pressure on with no one else playing..

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!
