I saw the announcement/apology on their message board.

 

It was something along the lines of: Hornchurch signed a player, faxed his registration to the League on the Friday and selected t'lad on the Saturday. League rules say that the Registration Form must be with them literally rather than a copy by fax so they had 'em bang to rights. One point off and that will teach you upstarts to abide by t'rules in future and move that helicopter while you're about it.
