Irishadrian
Im pretty sure Blackpool will forfeit the points All the reports Ive read say the referee was prepared to complete the game. Blackpools failure to competently steward and police the game prevented this ( remember this protest at the last game of the season had been known about since the start of the season) Not a parallel with our situation with Banbury where that referee decided to call the game off. staines_rebel_Jr
There isn't much riding on the match, only whether Huddersfield finish 15 or 16. If the match gets replayed then what is to say the supporters wont do the same thing again.

Also Irishadrian How could they with about 100 + supporters unwilling to get off the pitch, that's why it was called off. And yes they principle the same a supporter/s get the game called off. Brighton on holiday
Good to see fans having the balls to do this. Club have been bled dry by owners http://sloughtownsoapbox.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/fans-united.html?m=

Also the Blackpool pitch invasion was a premeditated act which had been well known by all concerning parties unlike the bottle throw from the Banbury fan which is more a heat of the moment act of stupidity. Considering how laughable the FA have been so far this season; Allowing the Hereford farce to go on for so long, the ridiculous amount of time to make a decision on us vs Banbury, what has happened at Enfield with the ineligible player which has forced a postponement of the Ryman league playoffs. Just to name a few Anything could happen. I say that the match be replayed but in Qatar !!!
Irishadrian
epicrebel Im not saying the likely outcome is fair but the rules are clear The home side are responsible for effective crowd control (and as others have pointed out this demonstration had been known about for months ) Our case with Banbury was different Todays ref will report that he wished to play the game but couldnt due to a pitch invasion which was the resposibility of the home side Our ref called the game off regardless of the wishes of either side but given some other FA decisions this season we must wait and see what they decide Who knows? It's still supporters changing the outcome of a match. You got to look at the incident as it stands not what going on around and outside of the game itself. Irishadrian. All you were saying was it's the clubs responsability ect and the ref wanted to carry on with the game, so what has that got to do with rules. The ref at banbury wished to play the game but couldn't because of a supporter stop that as in the Blackpool game

RR I can understand the decision with nothing to play for. Not sure your right if Huddersfield are given 3 points that would put them above Leeds and would make extra money on League position (I think), which in my eyes is the right decision as the non offending side is not punished in any shape or form. Unlike our game. But at 0-0 (as Banbury would say it) anything would of happened in the second half. AS I said earlier in another post nor was ours in October. If it does mean extra money for the higher league place then it should be a foregone conclusion with the 'notional score'.
HorshamRebel
The FA have announced that the Blackpool v Huddersfield game wont be replayed There will be a meeting shortly to allocate a notional score for the game. The Football League made the decision not to play the match, in the same way that the Southern League made our decision. The FA is not involved in those decisions
