I'll be dreading my wife's Office Christmas Party, which is in a hotel in Oxford, with a bunch of boring office types I don't know, and don't want to know.

dont go then.. ive knocked my office party as a matter of principle.. they have called it a 'seasonal' party.. im only going if they have 4 of them a year then..

I tried the "I'm not going" routine. Didn't go down too well. I'll wait til the morning of the party, and try the "I'm not well" routine.

your gonna have to break your own arm (making sure you dont break your drinking and er ahem.. arm)..

a night in casualty with the drunken scum of the area (say hi to the rest of EFM while you are in there) will be a small price to pay to avoid the horror that is the wife's xmas party

Someone here suggested if I only had the use of one arm, and wanted to do both activities simultaneusly, I could always use a straw.

 

Problem is, I've tried that, and the straw is bloody tight!!

blimey thats wierd... not the straw thing the drinking arm being different to the 'other' one.. i mean its almost the same action . tho the drinking part is obviously much faster

Nah - I'm naturally right-handed at both. Just taught myself to drink with my left so I could sense both pleasures at the same time.

 

One of the EFM lads (shan't name who) on the train to Crawley the other night said he kept trying to crack one off at work, but his female colleague kept walking in.

 

Very odd, I thought. Didn't think women worked at construction sites!!

Being true EFM, the drinking arm should be the weaker hand, allowing you quicker reaction times if a fight breaks out (you don't need to put your arm down, and you don't throw a soppy punch).
