Well done Rebels another great comeback! Just shows again we can create and score it's just the defensive area that needs strengthening. Won't name players but I feel only 3 defenders will stay and are of Premier Division standard. Not seen Gokmen play how was he today?

At half time I was hoping for a 3-1 defeat as I had Adam Martin as our scorer, then we go and spoil it all by having a brilliant second half, Adam I feel was MOTM but what a supporting cast, young Gokman came off the bench to run them ragged (and score), Chris also was turning them inside out, Guy's long throw's were causing them problems, great goal's by Billy and Ed, I would have been happy if the game had lasted till midnight, all I want now is a game like that at Dorchester and some nice weather that week end.

quite a bright opening before out of nowhere Dunstable went ahead. maybe the fact Dan Read went off and left us having to change formation so early didn't really help. ironically Gurken Gokmen who came on had a major say in the match and really looked a promising player. didn't have a faultless game but when anything went wrong he didn't let it concern him and he worked very hard throughout. was delighted for him getting on the scoresheet

 

after the 1st goal we found ourselves under quite a bit of pressure and when it went 2-0 it looked like it could be a drubbing

 

great volley from Martin gave us a route back into the game and 2nd half we thoroughly deserved to complete the turnaround and win the match. standout players particularly 2nd half Chris Henry, Gokmen, Adam Martin and Billy Jeffreys.

 

win was capped off by a wonderful Smith goal. outrageous skill despite looking to not be fully fit after great buildup play and a stunning finish

 

great to get another win and team deserves credit for the 2nd half performance. all round in defence and attack we were very good

Even when we do turn it around the defence gets stick. When we were in a goal drought it was still their fault we did not win. Have they been protected by the midfield all season have we created enough?  I fear our defenders may be currently making noises for other clubs either this level or below following the weekly bashing they all receive.  

 

I hope the Slough budget can extend to bringing in the replacements we all desire. I am not sure it can if the rumours that abound in respect of some clubs are true.

With only 3 other teams in the League having conceded more goals the question of the defence is a valid one.
