No game for Colliers Wood United so I have a choice of 3 games on Monday.

Banstead v Worcester Park is the nearest option although Farleigh v Croydon Athletic is very tempting, just difficult to get to!

However, I might pop along to the new CCL club next season, Abbey Rangers FC, who are playing Balham FC in the Surrey Elite League at 11am.

Maybe if they're given a bowler hat to go with it...?

Probably much better than a Dutch-Cap, Rother !!

I was at Banstead 3-3 Worcester Park today.

Huge redevelopment going on behind the ground (why this club isn't a Ryman one is beyond me!). Ground was tidy and well presented with a good looking playing surface if a little dry.

Home side missed 3 good chances before taking a deserved lead and adding a second which was at least 2 yards offside.

2 of the 3 officials just not good enough for this level any more I am afraid! The other too nice to criticise at all.

Park got one back on half time but Banstead made it 3-1 on 50 minutes and looked good for the win.

Park looked pretty jaded up to this point but dug deep to level with the last 18 to 20 minutes a non event really.

The A's will be kicking themselves for not winning but switched off, especially at the back, while Park could have won it with two or three good late chances.

Draw = just about a fair result. ATT = 36.

Lovely warm bank holiday deserved more people watching. Nice rolls in the bar.

After today's results, Chessy still in with a shout as, of course, are Bedfont & Feltham.

Well done to Farleigh today as well.

Horley Town 1 Epsom & Ewell 0

A typical local derby with both teams going full out for the game. Town dominated the first half but the tackles were firing in from both sides with several early bookings. It was all square at half time. Town then took the lead with a well taken goal midway through the second half when Ashley broke and gave the large Epsom keeper no chance. Town then had a player sent of closely followed by the Epsom Full back for kick out at Ashley. With both teams down to ten men the game continued at the same high pace, but Town stood firm to keep a clean sheet and get the three points against the inform team. Ashley won the batle of the top goal scorers with ex Horley Town player Kylie haveing very few chances.

A great win and great support for Town today with the supporters getting behind the side all around the ground.

Yes, a good game on  a decent pitch with facilities that really need a team to match them. Agree a draw was a fair result and a decent day out. The hosts looked to have a number of players who looked out in their feet at the end. Shame about the man in charge having his own agenda...luckily both sides seemed to ignore him for the most part and just got on with contesting the game.

Well Frimley sadly not at the races from half time for a second successive match. No matter what you say to the players. Individual errors again cost Frimley the match.

Whilst not mathematically relegated just yet. It appears a formality. Since joining in jan the club has seen an improvement in team spirit. 4 game winning run which gave hope and a lot of credit has to go to those that came in what appeared at the time as an impossible task of keeping Frimley up and whilst there's still slight hope of the impossible being achieved. If it's not Well done to those involved in giving it a good go and at least giving the club a fighting chance.

Injuries always hurt a club and whilst hamworth shocked the league ( they agree on this ) by beating Molesley with a heavily depleted team, such an injury list for Frimley has unfortunately made a tough task even tougher. But. We carry on. with 3 games left anything can happen.

Massive wins for Horley,Mole Valley,Knaphil today Hanworth drawing with Spelthorne a decent result too.Makes the relegation dogfight look very interesting.

A massive well done to Farleigh Rovers, who only need 1 point now to be confirmed as Champions.Goes to show what a close knit squad, can acheive.Shame that they reside in an area, where the Local Authority has no interest in helping Clubs, get a ground up to FA Standards.Such a decent area for good players,as Warlingham proved a few seasons ago.

Who are you are you one of the team or one of the management team ?what you say makes a lot of sense but i would have liked the club to have kept its identity and gone down fighting with more of a local team, what happens if the team goes down will those in charge carry on or will they go,good luck in the remaining 3 games the problem is all the other teams are also picking up points it seems that fate has reered its ugly head,as i say good luck though.
