Enfield United
A debates kicked off on the Margate forum in regards to our Groundsman being assaulted at there ground a couple of weeks ago, they appeared to be unaware of the culprit yawwwwwwwwn
Gringo
A Debate started by yourself! Slamming ALL Margate fans. We all agree the culprit should be found and banned. Why are you continually trying to provoke bad feeling between both sets of fans? We are all bitterly disapointed that one idiot has let us down. Also that he allegedly hasnt been delt with. Stirring up bad feelings via Social Media with a high possibility of us facing each other in the play offs. The only thing this will attract is more vermin! Enfield United
Gringo, My tone does come across angry I agree, but that is through frustration that nothing is done about it and co-operation via Margate has been negative. A lot of good can come out of this as I,ve posted on your forum, every Town fan here would confirm that the lad who was punched and left with dental issues is probably the nicest, polite respectful individual you could meet, therefore making an assault on him nothing more than a direct attack on a defenceless person This will only attract vermin if nothing is done but will create warm mutual respect if the individual is named
Gringo
Understand the anger, and your last post is well put. Hope somebody that can put a name to the face comes forward.
Enfield United
What a shame not one of Margates 650-700 supporters or board members had the decency to name the supporter who thumped Jack at the league game over their place. They know who he is, we can even state he has a ginger haired son, but Margate would rather harbour a thug, hope it comes back to haunt them one day. Eastside Urchin
Perhaps they are dealing with it in house and gathering information from people before taking action or revealing their findings.
Enfield United
Thanks for your interest Eastside. Unfortunately we have been told by the ;authorities' that they are not interested in following up, naming or assisting the police. However Margate stewards, supporters and board know the individual concerned as they had informed us he had previously been banned from the club. and all I get is 'here we go again' and 'if you drink to much (which this young lad had;nt) what do you expect? attitude should never be a crime to have a drink and be Jovial. We have had it at our place with Dulwich, Bognor, Maidstone just to name 3,we joined in for the banter, not commit a crime.
Eastside Urchin
Depends if "drinking and being jovial" involves taking the piss,if so then let's face it,that's life. If you don't want a slap then behave yourself and don't overstep the mark,it's the rules of the jungle,we've all been there and took the slap and learnt from it

If you don't want a slap then behave yourself and don't overstep the mark,it's the rules of the jungle,we've all been there and took the slap and learnt from it And who decides if someone has overstepped the mark? and surely that doesn't give some thug the right to "give someone a slap". Eastside Urchin
Of course it doesn't but if you decide to roll into a local pub and start gobbing off nine times out of ten you go through the window
Enfield United
You must go to some nice bars and clubs Eastside. I agree with the Romford Boy, there is no reason for violence at a football match, it has no place. I'm afraid the Margate folks have failed themselves and their good name on this one. Eastside Urchin
You simply don't get slapped at a non league football game for no reason. There's always a catalyst rightly or wrongly
romford boy
You simply don't get slapped at a non league football game for no reason. There's always a catalyst rightly or wrongly I haven't seen any violence (on the terraces) for years now, which makes the Margate incident even more intolerable. Enfield United
Romford Boy- I haven't seen any violence at Non League grounds either till this incident at Margate. The actual incident happened when we scored our second goal to go 2-0 up, supporters were jubilant, as you are, usual stuff jumping up and down punching the air etc etc when one guy from a group of 5-6 Margate fans took his coat off and thumped the first Enfield fan he came to as if to make a statement to our joy. Not warranted, has no place in our sport or society. Sad thing is our young 100% innocent fan has a £1200 dental bill whilst Terry Brown (Margate manager) is allegedly on £75k a year along with some of his players and the club as a whole can't even stretch to a gesture of a Bucket collection or £50 Zizzi's voucher and apologise. Am I that wrong???? instead I get Margate fans openly standing their ground making inaccurate allegations which is best described as shameless. They've even locked the thread so that no more sensible comments like your last one
