Would venture to suggest that these posts are doing nothing more than churning over the same old arguments.... If anybody has some workable ideas on how to improve the clubs position then let's hear em... It's easy to sit at home and have a pop, not so easy to get up and actually do something!

But talking to the people in question is going to solve nothing - and at recent forums any questions that are not, shall we say, appreciated, are addressed in a very defensive and increasingly "scarlet" manner (people who have ever been will know what I mean). Sometimes talking is not enough to bring about positive change.

I would suggest we cut our cloth according to our budget in future, it may mean the club stays afloat (just). I would suggest that when we talk about a five year plan, we want the club to IMPROVE through those 5 years. I would suggest that in future we do not gamble with the club in the way that has clearly happened. I think many fans would agree with this, but they never get heard as they are probably not registered to this forum. I fully expect this to get deleted as any dissenters are shot down in flames on this forum.

Message to Gazza,

Can't understand why you are being so defensive ?

Crispin may have a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Billericay Town and/or Rod Moore but I feel he has raised a number of valid points.

The comments from Blue man also ring true - all you come back with is a personal dig. I appreciate that you are a loyal supporter and someone who is prepared to give up their personal time to help the club. Maybe that's the problem you can't see reality.

Let me spell it out;

Bottom of the league

Out of the FA Cup

Out of the FA Trophy

Crowds approx half of what they were last year

Players leaving

Inexperienced manager

Uncertainty over new ground

No amount of questions asked at the fans forum or supporter help is going to solve the main problem that the club needs a injection of funds -THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CHAIRMAN AND HIS BOARD.

got any ideas ??

Are you prepared to share your thoughts

Apologies to those whom I have offended...I meant no offence to those supporters who pitch their level of support by comming into the ground, paying £8 and cheer the team on. There are levels and then there are LEVELS of support. Again no criticism was meant towards those that

It is very easy to have a pop when the club is struggling. A few have tried to point the finger at various people yet have offered absolutely nothing positive by way of improving the situation.

"The main problem is that the club needs an injection of funds"...Well done Ozzie but where are these funds going to come from..there is no magic wand, there is no rich sugar daddy behind us..so what do you suggest...a sponsored moan perhaps

Im sure if there are concrete and positive steps to help improve the clubs position we'd all love to hear them...but this type of negative comment really helps no one and will probably just serve to make the situation worse.

Crispin,

I spent several hours last night with Gazza at the football club talking to the officials trying to diffuse this situation.

Jim Hall president of the club has made an offer so let's see if you are man enough to accept to meet you face 2 face over lunch to answer your questions which you have posted about BTFC.

The ball is now firmly in your court.

Crispin just as I presumed totally gutless and if you do not know who Jim Hall is then you have no idea how our club operates and you should keep your comments to yourself.

Jim is a highly respected and knowledgeable person at the Club who loves BTFC and has been involved at BTFC for a long period of time as both a supporter and club official.

I think Crispin is probably a resident of Basildon and against BTFC moving to Gloucester Park. His only objective in coming on to this forum is too [***!!***] stir and try to undermine the 'move' to Gloucester Park by causing havoc from behind his keyboard. There is probably much anger in him as the people of Basildon haven't risen and taken to the streets as he had hoped. He knows nothing about BTFC as his postings have clearly shown, his information probably comes from 'dubious' sources and whispers. I say leave him be and let Canvey enjoy this man's rantings.
