I agree,Windsor Rebel. I was one of those targetted as a 'keyboard warrier' by quite a few people when Steve Bateman was in charge.

One of those labelled a 'keyboard warrior' appears to have dropped out of this forum because of the flak that came his way for daring to voice an opinion [Cookham Rebel] which I found sad,as I never thought his posts were ever insulting.

Had Steve Bateman been like Bakes or Unders,in the way they've approached the forum and it's dwellers,Cookham Rebel could have still been on here.

I think that we've all got to make an effort to uphold the forum's rules and try to be tolerant of each other, without getting in all these tit for tats, which undermines what a good forum this is,to many other non-league ones on offer.

Have the forum rules been broken?

Has this thread deteriorated into a script for Jeremy Kyle?

Can Kyle actually READ a script ??

Wondering if we should stop giving out man of the match, as it could upset the other 10?

Praising someone doesn't mean criticising all the rest. I said in a different thread my main concern for next season was losing a few certain players... I named them. I didn't do that to slag off the rest just to compliment those who I feel have had a better season.

I don't see what offence Jon has caused here! I honestly feel if it was someone who everyone knew who posted that it wouldn't be such an issue. It's an opinion, it's a forum, like it or lump it. Many comment here aren't productive.... But, in essence, all comments except those of the managers are unproductive as only they can actually put it to action what they think and say.

And I have faith in them to sort out our issues.I feel they are the right guys for the job, they themselves are on a steep learning curve this season. They got us up. We will almost definitely stay up. I'd have taken that 22 months ago.

Lots of comments on the issue of what can or can't be said on the forum.

Although I am new to this I agree with reading & windsor rebels that we should be able to say or post what we see or believe the situation to be.

We all have our own views on players, managers formations and performances and the forum seems to be a good place to see other peoples views which we wouldn't normally know.

If a player or the managers have played poorly, or well, in my opinion then I believe I should be able to post this here positive or negative.

The aim is not to be a personal attack on a person but to state my views.

I think we all want the best for slough town and will have different views at times, think how boring it would be if we all posted the same view.

From my recent use of the forum I have not seen any postings that I consider to be over the top or personal, but again that's my view others may disagree!

Let's hope the team put in a good performance tomorrow, ideally winning!

Just to add a final bit to this thread, I rarely see anything that I think is out of order etc, most people want us to do well, however are also pretty understanding of the level we are at and the issues that have plagues us this year, and that things are not always going to be rosey.

Yes we get the odd comments that both myself and Jon get frustrated with, however as most have said it is a forum and that is why it is a good forum in comparison to most clubs, you do get the odd troll but hey ho....

Has been a tough season for a number of reasons, however we will as a management team be stronger for it, and the players will be also, the vast majority are still young in football terms and it will have done them the world of good this season.

Myself and Jon have sat down and discussed at length this week our targets for next season, and we feel that if we are able to get who we want we will be much the stronger next season, however a large number of the current squad will remain, and it will be a case of integrating any new players with them as quick as possible, we immediately have 2 new players back for pre season in Foulser and Warren Harris who will improve us that have played little to no part this season.

We now move onto St Neots who are chasing the play offs, and a very good side who have improved in all areas since we beat them at their place.
