As a recently new Rebel I would to offer my view on a few things that I see following the number of disappointing results and post reports. In my view

it looks clear that the midfield area is one key area where the ball is either lost too cheaply or not won and that has put constant pressure on the

defence and you can't defend for long periods of time without mistakes sometimes being made. The team has shown that when the midfield is working well

and in control chances are being created, results and performances are good and we are up there with the best in the league.

Also, the management team could perhaps look at the way they challenge officials from the sidelines(and when they walk onto the pitch to have dialogue

with officials)when decisions go against the team as these protests will be picked by the players and replicated as the thing to do.

Would take that on the chin, and in the cold light of day I should not have stomped on to the pitch at half time against Corby, however in my defence I have been managing 6 years, have never been sent from the dugout, and usually have a very good rapport with officials, as we rarely shout or scream... yes we have had a few of occasions where we have, however we are both only human .... but on the whole we have a pretty good reputation...

Here's some more photos of the game, this time from my good friend Peter, who is the Hitchin photographer.

He was right in front of the red card tackle and there are a few in his set from that, but we have to remember things can still happen inbetween the shots that are not picked up.

He has since contacted me to say how friendly everyone he met was, and that he is looking forward to our visit next season.

Have not singled anyone out only as a collective of positions, maybe if you stopped making things up and saw the wood for the trees you might admit we ain't playing well.

Yeah u did.... And I didn't say we were or weren't.... Stop making things up

Now you are going from lies to childish rantings--sorry I'm not going down that road.

Without wishing to prolong this little difference of opinion, the fact is you singled out Ed Smith and Luke Williams (the 'keeper') as players you would keep and source new players to fill the other positions around them.

I think that puts that to bed. Lets look forward to the next few matches as the majority of players will be playing for a position in the team next year.

Sorry but you read the post wrong, no names were mentioned other than Ed and Luke in the positive context .   What I actually wrote was to bring in some players to compliment them , never inferred that I wanted all the rest replaced , wish folk would read what is written rather than try and score points in their reply.

No points scoring wanted or needed, just sticking to the facts as you posted them.

As im sure you know at this level and with the financial set up of the club, we carry a small squad. Therefore to bring in a player Jon and Neil need to release a player, ergo to 'compliment them' you need to release players.

Maybe you unwittingly thought we could just increase the squad, would that we could. Hope that clears it up.

Im sure this point in the thread can be closed now.

I think it's near impossible not to mention players names,on the forum especially when discussing the pros and cons of the squad.

Talking of Luke Williams,I have to say that the replacing of Jake Somerville took me by surprise,as I thought Jake was a good goalie but the managers were spot on,in getting Luke to the club.He has been very impressive and his all round game ie his confidence, shot stopping, his communication skills and his kicking has proved he has the edge on Jake.

Think his decision making coming for the ball at crosses is an area he will need to work on but I think we may have trouble holding onto him,as with experience and age,he's only going to get better and so other clubs will be hovering to prise him away.

Problem is singling people out isn't very proactive the players need to take responsibility as a team. There is problems and I am sure neil and jon are very capable in sorting that out. The fact is we have an opinion that u shudnt single people out and u think its ok. So we will have to agree to disagree..... And as for u jon black I will be more than happy to discuss further in person but I'm pretty sure u won't and as for childish rantings u've been doing that for years why stop now?

I hope all this Singling Out business doesn't apply when we wish to single out particular players for praise when it's due :)

Let's just accept that the entire team (with 1 or 2 exceptions, I shan't single them out :) ) were extremely poor on Saturday. The managers have practically said as much, and have said that it will be dealt with. I don't see the need for another song and dance.

End of discussion as far as I'm concerned. Lets move on.
