Banbury United match to be replayed

Will our three key players currently suspended, one of whom scored twice in the original fixture, be allowed to play in the rearranged fixture?

I'd say the answer to that is no but the upside is that Scott Harris and Jake Parsons will be available to play against Dorchester.

Reese York has a five match suspension.

Not going to go into details but no one ever said we had paid £500.

We had to go to the hearing to ask to have it withdrawn.

Any players under suspension will not be able to play, but as pointed out will then be available for Dorchester.

Thanks Kay.

Whilst I appreciate the club trying to do the honourable thing, it doesn't seem too fair on Frome. We now have to go to Banbury midweek, minus 3 players who were available for the original fixture with nothing to play for. Maybe we should consider blooding a few under 18s on Saturday!

I think we need to be very careful about not playing an understrength side. Bearing in mind we are trying to do the right thing sporting wise. We need to be seen to be giving Frome as tough a game as Banbury on the Tuesday.

If Banbury have already been relegated by the time we play them then I'm sure Neil and Jon could look at fringes players with a view to next seasons squad.

Im in two mind on what the club has done here....on one hand I think that it is a very admiral thing to do and playing the game that we all intend to play, especially one that could mean so much to Banbury in the end........However, I really hope that nothing happens in the replay, tensions will be high no doubt and if we relegate them even more so. What happens if we win 2-1 and its a dubious penalty that settles it....

I agree with what the club has done on the balance but believe the possibility of playing behind closed doors may have been better for everyone involved

Will have the strongest squad we can for the remaining games and Frome will be no different, which will basically be what we had at Dunstable:

Obviously Saturday we are without, Scott Harris, Jake Parsons and Reece Yorke suspended, plus Searsy and Clurgy injured.

On a real positive front Warren Harris trained properly tonight, and was back to his jinking best, and did not even look like he had been away, one of the hardest things coming back from the injury is the mental side, however I don't think we will have to worry about that with him.

In reality we would have no problems putting him in the squad for Saturday the way he feels, however we wont be doing that as there is no point pushing it for 3 games that will not have a huge impact on our season, as he has only been out 7 months and they normally say 9 months before playing again.

Also Foulser had a positive session with the specialist Tuesday working on his glutes, which he needs to retrain (which can be done in a few weeks) and the specialist has no doubt he will be 100% fit for pre season, and any hamstring problems should also hopefully be behind him.

Myself and Unders came out of training very buoyant tonight especially with a good quality session on a very bumpy Polish Club pitch!

I would hope that Banbury have learnt their lesson and will have sufficient stewards unlike in the abandoned game.

Having said that, apparently the yob who threw the bottle at the Ref is still attending Banbury games so maybe they haven't.

Bakes, how is Searsy?

It's a bit worrying that he's taking a lot longer than anticipated with the injury that he has.

Do you think the odds are good for him to make a full recovery for the start of pre-season?

To have a fully fit Adrian Sear would be another major boost for the new season.

Yep we expect Searsy to be back and fit for pre season, he is going to get a further x ray on his ankle just to make sure that the fracture is healing, however he feels a lot better, just not quite ready to play.

With these injuries we have missed Searsy for 4 months now and Clurgy pretty much for 5 months, add in Foulser and Warren all season, if we could say that those 4 will be fully fit they are all like new signings to us... all very influential players and big characters.

Noticed on the Weymouth web-site that one of their fans wrote a letter of complaint to Banbury regarding the Banbury stewards. Seems one or more of the Banbury stewards took off their high vis jackets and joined in with the celebrations behind the goal.

I know the stewards are voluntary and Banbury are skint but they really have to get their act together as regards to their stewards and crowd safety.

Also, in the Weymouth photos it seems either the young yobs behind the goal are allowed to drink alcohol or the Stewards turn a blind eye to it.

If anyone has a spare original Banbury ticket that that don't need, let me know and I'll donate the original money paid to Kay and Radders for the walk (I know where I would rather spend my money). Hoping to be in Banbury about 7:00om.
