What are you on about, You asked a question and I answered it ok with a Question what would the forum loose if club official didn't post?

Why do club officials post here? Because, as Kay says, above anything else they are fans and this is a "fans forum". If fans want the best for their club it's not unreasonable to expect them not to be deliberately negative or undermine the club on a forum that's in the public domain. Maybe others don't share that view.

 

A more pertinent question to me is why would anyone want to put themselves forward to be a club official given the endless hours of unpaid work which, I would argue, goes largely unappreciated?

I would argue that it's for the love of the club and is very much appreciated by the vast majority.
