Banbury United match to be replayed

I'm sure that Neil and Jon can and will speak for themselves, but my opinion of people is often formed by talking, agreeing, disagreeing, debating with them. Personally I find doing this face to face adds credibility as you can also assess body language and tone.

Someone that chooses to engage solely on an internet message board does not have as much credibility, and in my opinion is likely to be trolling.

Making arch statements, and little digs within many posts also looks like trolling.

Constantly whinging about whether posters are allowed to have an opinion is not trolling. It is boring.

So in summary, if someone will not engage in person, whinges about their right to an opinion, and posts more negative than positive then I think they have little credibility so I ignore them. Until they write 'except' when they mean 'accept'. Jonblack, you sir are a MONSTER!

I'm not replying to your post,Christof,as a defender of Jon Black but I'm not sure I agree totally with what you've said here.

From my position, when I first ventured onto the forum I chose an alias,as most forum members do.Not to deceive, just to fit in.

Writing anything on here that doesn't fit in with the views of some, can be perceived as negative, when often they are not.

Not every fan know club people face to face but all fans of Slough FC should be welcome to post on the forum, regardless of knowing club people.

From my own view,it's taken time to establish myself to other forumites/club people, that I'm not a troll and hold the club dear to my heart but there are still some who seem to think you have some hidden agenda, when you just give an honest opinion.

On Jon Black,I don't know the man face to face but it's obvious he has been watching Slough play for a considerable number of years and must be allowed to post.

However,as he's been banned twice under different aliases [Hotspur and one I've forgotten!] and does seem to be carrying a personal grudge about our managers,I'm not sure how long this situation can continue,as it's not what the forum is here for.

It is also clear that Neil Baker now,has no time or put's any creedence to what Jon Black posts, which under the circumstances is somewhat understandable !

So where we go from here, who knows?

The daft thing of this latest spat,is that I thought Jon Black made a fair point, when he said about the players sub-consciously believing they are only a mid-table team, which to me has elements of the truth in it IMO.

I'd quite like a cup run.

Perhaps the only blemish on Bakes & Under's time at Slough so far is lack of progression in cup competitions.

I'm certain Neil and Jon are aware of this, and that it will be key to providing them with the finance and an opportunity to progress and possibly challenge higher up the league table.

I quite agree that Jon Black should be allowed to post as long as he like any other member doesn't violate the forum rules or crosses the boundaries of decency and respect for fellow forum users.

Again I'm no defender of Jon and personally I feel he does make a good point occasionally.

My issue is that he comes across as an aggressive poster and attacks people for having a different point of view which raises the temperature and posters bite back. This is a form of trolling.

My advice Jon is to post as if you were talking face to face around a table with your fellow posters, remember people may have other opinions and that doesn't mean they are right or wrong.

Holding grudges and verbalising them,as you seem to do against Neil or Jon is not a valid posting issue as they are club officials who cannot answer you in the manner they may like.

Pull in your horns and post in non aggressive manner please.

I think our Jon is very much 'set in his ways' and will never change, especially on here. He's the type who'd argue with himself and will always feel he's right not matter what.

Haven't you got that the wrong way round ?

Has to some of the other posts on here no I don't hold a grudge against the managers ,I don't know them,I go to the match to watch the game not the managers. But I still say I am entitled to voice my opinion on the game, it's not always negative as one or two try to make out, also have never named a player in a bad way and certainly never called the teams performance s..t as someone did.No if honest opinion and the reading of a game upsets the managers that's their problem not mine.

Jon, without stating the obvious, what gets peoples backs up is your questioning on whether our managers are good enough to manage at this level without any justification for it.

Bakes and Unders have been with us for 2 seasons now, they have got us promotion and we have probably finished this season in 16th place and you still feel it necessary to question their abilities to manage at this level.

You are of course entitled to your opinion but even you must see why other supporters get a bit miffed with your IMO unnecessary digs at our managers.

Maybe one of his grandsons had a trial with the club and the managers rejected him and being Jon he thought his grandson was the worlds' best player and has taken a massive dislike to our managers? Just one theory could be anything to be fair that's upset Jon...

From what I have seen recently I don't think you can call anyone a troll, as blunt as some comments are I am yet to see anything that is what I would deem unacceptable.

Forum is where different opinions are voiced and commented on, there is no one right answer or opinion as its all subjective to the individual.

Lets move on

Usually the closed season meltdown of the forum happens after the last game, however it has started a week early  - just shows how boring this season was.

Pity that some have lowered themselves to the name calling level, and that those who claim things then cannot back them up.

Will leave Jonblack and Neil to their handbags and hope they have both grown up for next season.

Logging of now until the start of next season to avoid the wild speculation and false hopes that the closed season will bring.

One match ball, what an embarrassing excuse of a club Banbury are.

How on earth did they get away with that !

Our referee's expect three match balls to be presented to them for checking before kick-off.  The referee and his two assistants each carry one out for the hand-shaking.

Generally, there are around another three added to the dug-out.

It might be worth checking your League rule-book !

You've got some front Jonny, your comments and attitude is hardly 'grown up', but of course you'd never admit to that. But yes I shall leave it because even I'm bored of all this 'tosh' now

Thank god for that peace at last !

By the way my name is Jon not Jonny.

Now you've left us,Rebel1965,I don't suppose you're respond but how on earth can you say the season was boring.

I thought the season has been very good as a whole, with us pitting our wits against better teams and having the distinct rise in standard to what the Central league offered us but I suppose there's no accounting for taste.

Totally agree, I've really enjoyed this season, as you say 'pitting your wits' against higher level opposition.

Some great results along the way against Margate, Corby, Truro, St Neots, Weymouth and Cirencester.

Also, speculation and gossip in the close season is what football forums are all about except for the boring party poopers   :P
