Comments/Chants Of The Season

Perhaps a new one for Saturday:

(To the tune of 'Yellow Submarine)

All we want is a decent referee

A decent referee, a decent referee

Aside from that, I did enjoy Roger's Bell Song at Croydon, BFR's uncontrollable rant at anyone and anything in the second half also at Croydon for which he duly got a round of applause and 'Croydon's stand is falling down'.

Others include:

He's got a period on his head - Aimed at the Dulwich keeper's 'unique' hairstyle

Roger's 'This Boot is made for scoring' at Stortford.

Best ones this season have definitely been reserved for the Stortford games though:

'Did you hear the whistle blow? No-oh, No-oh'

AND

'Play to the whistle, you've got to play to the whistle.'

Anyone got any others?

Or perhaps some new ones:

(to the tune of Adams Family)

"Your mother is your sister,

your father is your brother,

you like to [***!!***] eachother,

The Windsor Family."

"Clement James, Clement James missed an open goal,

Clement James, Clement James missed an open goal,

How did he miss?

Slough Town took the piss,

Clement James, Clement James, Clement James."

Yeah, thanks for my round of applause..... and I was deeply touched at the little verse of 'Graham's gonna hump you'. Now this place is up and running again, am I permitted to be a mod again or has my Croydon profanity given a good excuse for a permanent exclusion?

There is only one chant so far this season.

RYAN SPENCER'S CONFERENCE QUALITY

With the Danny Steer song coming a close second. Funnily enough both of these were created by me!

Best comment still has to be Gary at Welling.

Are you scared Welling, holding it in the corner?

I personally enjoyed 'Croydon's stand is falling down' whilst jumping up and down and pushing the roof off ! One that also springs to mind is 'ratcatcher' at Horsham which Freddie seemed to enjoy.

But when it comes to atmospheres this season... Lewes (first half) by far the best, I can't comment on Stortford because I couldn't make it... but if only we could get another Hemel Hempstead away... that was outstanding (apart from the result).
