v Cambridge City

ER everyone is entitled to their own opinion whether it's complimentary or not and you can't moan at any fans for feeling that way after a result like that. Sure we're likely to stay up which was the first aim at the start of the season but it doesn't matter what league you're in if you go on a bad run you've got to expect criticism! Anyway as it's been said the managers have broad shoulders and would expect some negative comments after such a beating.

And Glen that's my opinion. The fact that there was only 4 on the bench sorts of says injuries played a part in it, but after that comment what can they say. No matter what anyone says there was 3 started the game coming back from injury, Dobbo a little bit down the road from injury. 2 injuries  and 1 new player on the bench out of the 4.

Clive, I just don't think Jon and Neil make excuses, to be truthful I think they give their honest opinion.

Yes Glen everyone is allowed an opinion but it would be nice if the opinions were constructive and helpful.

AND NO I am not a puppet these are my own honest opinions, before any idiot mentions the Mafia !!!!

Very disappointed and didn't see that coming , especially since Cambridge had lost to Redditch on Wednesday and had only rested for 48hrs. This was only Cambridge's second win in 13 games and their only other victory in that period was against Banbury! There has been a lot of speculation recently about rebuilding in the close season and what our aspirations should be for next season and I think we've lost sight of the fact that this season has still to be played out.Its true we have injury problems but some talk about it as if we are the only team affected by injuries which of course isn't correct Its all about the numbers and qualities of the squad not just about the optimum team you would like to play.

It's not just 1 or 2 injury it 8 injuries at 1 time no team could handle that.

It's nothing to do with Cambridge and who they've lost to and who they've beaten this season.

Cambridge are as good as there league position suggests.

Today we've gift wrapped the points for Cambridge with some inexplicable defensive errors combined with very poor service for our forwards to feed off.

A couple of long range efforts in the first half is about the sum of it.

My main concern right now is how the players we have that are good enough to move us forward (ed Adam m the parsons and a few others) must be feeling at the moment. Ed looked thoroughly pissed off at the end. We can't afford to lose our quality players due to some awful results.

That won't happen because they trust our managers to get it right.

Although the goals were gifts and we should have defended better I think we should not revert to 1 up front, lets continue to attack teams and try to score rather than playing defensive!

Must admit I was a bit surprised we started with one up front especially being at home and against a team that were below us in the league.

IMO to play one up front the midfield has to do it's job which is playing to the feet of the lone striker and being creative otherwise it becomes a thankless task for the striker.

Video interview this morning confirmed team we started wasn't what we planned to start with due to the late illness of Scott Harris

It seems the plan was to start with 2 strikers and the reason why Dan Reid didn't start was because he wasn't at training this work due to work commitments.

At the end of the day losing Harris isn't exactly why we gave some really poor goals away and with all due respect we haven't played all that well with scott recently anyway

Difficult to not feel like I'm being too harsh when talking about the last few games. I know everyone involved realises we haven't been good enough last few games I'm sure. We just need to get back to basics, work hard and keep our play simple.

Wide players weren't staying wide at all so was all so congested in the middle and the tempo dropped as we refused to use the space

Can accept we will lose matches but recently we have lost to decent at best sides who haven't had to play exceptional to comprehensively beat us.

As a fan that is very worrying for rest of season & going into next season its hard not to have doubts over some of the players right now if this is them "playing for their futures"

Thankfully the pile of points we got in the first part of the season mean that we are where we are.............those points were achieved with much the same players as now, so what is different /

Have other teams sussed out the way we play and countered any strengths , or are we suddenly just not good enough................league tables tend not to lie. And looking at the fixture list, this may have been the easiest of the remaining programme.

Have we forgotten we play better on the ground rather than finding long high balls being returned and often leading to opposition breakaways......and a stretched defence struggling to cope. Cambridge are an average side on a bad run but seemed determined to end that run whereas our poor run continues.

No players particularly to be singled out for blame............on the other hand . around of personal applause to George for his efforts on his return

i think we need to play a 2 5 3 formation , or at least a 2 4 4 , a lone striker  up front just does not work, if a player is good enough to make the squad then he must be good enough to start if circumstances dictate, a glowing report followed reads signing, so we should have had the werwithal to gamble and start him, after all things could not have got much worse, poor excuse not to start him because he did not attend training, the situation we found ourselves in he needed to start, might have been the difference today , but we will never know will we. :(
