Still think we are woefully light in central midfield, we only have Ben Ed and George Short, who are both only recently back from injury and Clurgy who hasn't played for 3 months.

Not 100% sure what you expect with the current situation, when you have Adam Martin suspended and Adrian Sear out injured.... not in a position to bring in more players I am afraid... and pretty sure those lads you have mentioned have never let us or the club down.

Cannot disagree, those players have never let us down, just saying that it's not an ideal situation to be in but at the same time can understand the current situation with injuries and suspensions.

Like you,I'm looking forward to the game and with the weather being good, hope we're going to see a positive display from the off from the lads today.

I wouldn't say we are 'woefully light in midfield'. For me, I would play

Williams

Moran Hollis Yorke R.Parsons

with a diamond shaped midfield of

               Edwards

Fraser                       Short

               J.Parsons

with Dan Read and Ed Smith up front

Subs: Jeffreys,S.Harris,Foulser,Dobson,McClurg

........but of course, that won't happen! ha ha!

Just to clarify, by 'Woefully Light' I mean players who have just returned from injury.

Time to concentrate on the off the field issues, as the on the field performance is not worth bothering about considering most of the players are have already switched off. It was always going to be mid-table mediocrity this season and that is what we have got.

Hopefully the management won't embarrass themselves by coming on here and trying to justify todays performance with the same old lame excuses of injuries etc.

Hmmmmmm seem to remember most of us just being happy with staying up this season.

Also think the managers are more than entitled to have their say on here, if we are happy to hear from them with team news before the game then we should also be happy to hear from them after a game.

Wasn't there so can't comment on the game but to lose by such a margin was very surprising and not what I was hoping for before the game. Worrying the form we're in and hopefully we've done enough to stay up and not have that to worry about. I think it may show that there's more rebuilding needed than first envisaged if the play offs are a realistic aim next season.

I'm pretty sure the quote from our managers was to finish closer the the playoffs next season. So finish lower this year and that becomes easier :)

All jokes aside, today was very frustrating to watch. The goals that Cambridge scored were good finishes but it seems our defence was at sixes and sevens at time.....far too easy to break down. Yes we aren't scoring but even if we were we would still be losing to with the goals conceeded

The one positive for me from today is George short. This is the first time I have been since he came back and I am glad he did. Was unlucky not to score second half and put in 2/3 exceptional passes through the game.

Given his age he could be a very good player for us next year

Because of how poor the opposition were, I think that must go down as our worst performance of the season.

Virtually nil creativity from our midfield and IMO all 4 goals gifted, a perfect example of how to get stuffed by a team that was average at best.

I don't like singling out any players but I think Guy will hold his hands up to having a mare today. Having said that I'm sure he'll put it behind him and come back next week more determined to put things right.

The one positive on the day was the return of Clurgy.

After them comments If I was one of the managers I wouldn't come on here ever again.

I would think we've got enough points on the board but to be certain we need 3 or 4 more points from somewhere.
