urchinman1961
Inconsistent comes to mind really disappointed with the performance tonight, great start Leatherhead grew into the game equaliser was no surprise. The free kick for the second perfect position would have been harder to miss third goal own goal ? summed up the night really cant argue with the final score, get this out of our system 6 pointer at Witham on saturday
cup of tea
Seemed to be lacking in midfield tonight, Leatherhead deserved the win
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Disgraceful performance. Heads seemed to go down after the equaliser and midfield was non existent! Cant we hold onto a lead? Pleased I'm missing the next three games due to other plans. Really sums it up how s**t you are when a Leatherhead player tells the home support that the team that they support is relegated! Let alone coming over and celebrating in front of us. To$$ers the lot of them!!
cup of tea
Just to add insult to injury, Harrow Borough won 5-1 tonight - where did that come from?
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
they are below us but only on goal difference... for now...
Eastside Urchin
Missed the match as I fell asleep mid afternoon and my mum forgot to wake me up ffs but if a player comes over to antagonise the home fans, let's not kid ourselves that he's probably been slagged off or abused somewhere along the game. Perhaps if our fans spent more time encouraging the team instead of picking out pantomime villains then this may not be the case lol,it's happened since ive been going hornchurch and we always moan when the player comes and gives it back. Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Actually no Rob, that player wasn't getting any abuse from us but did afterwards from several on the Eastside!
cup of tea
Not sure if he's been sent on to wind people up or trying to prove he should be in the starting line-up or he's got a personal vendetta. Whatever the truth, he was targeting Elliot from the start of the second half (probably not a wise thing to do!). Ref should have taken control of the situation. Burdy
We played a team in form on a winning streak we played well in the first half. On Saturday the fans got behind the team and lifted them to a great display lets do the same this Saturday. Ignore other teams players most of the teams above us have played 2 to 3 games more than us a win Saturday will move us up the table. We have had good times it's now up to us to get through the bad times with the team lets get vocal on Saturday COYU .
shrimper
the leatherhead number 11 that scored the second goal then ran in front of the east side was a strange one as he hadnt had any stick from the crowd at all up to then hmmm ... but cant take it away from what was a awful display from hornchurch school boy stuff in the second half at times ,we got gifted the goal by the leatherhead keeper in the second minute and then i dont think he really had anything else to save for the rest of the match could have been worst as sam made a couple of cracking saves m.o.t.m for me , must say its not easy to watch at the moment it was yet another long cold night with no change in tactics plan B seems to have vanished along with the midfield, hopefully things will turn around at witham if not i feel that could be game up , and sorry to say for the first time im thinking of missing the next home game no southend clash just a is it worth it time and money thing gets even harder with the smallsey revolution taking place at bowers just a 10 min walk from my home
cup of tea
Sam had a good game, two cracking saves and had no chance with the goals. Doom and gloom at the moment but if we win on Saturday then that will put a whole new perspective on things. We've got to do what we can to support the team until the point comes where we're either safe or relegated - worry about things then.

Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
We‘ve had all season to get ourselves out of the bottom four and have done it only once and for about a day. As before we cannot keep relying on favours from other teams and hoping that those above or the few below us slip up. I got to be honest and say that things are not working and there seems to be no urgency from the club in order for us to stay up. If we are relegated then I feel that it wont be any good for us. Im sure I will get shot down for saying the above. If its so much of a problem then I will like the other supporters stop going.
Burdy
Annie everyone must have the chance to have their say and express their feelings And I agree we cannot rely on other teams slipping up we must use the games we have in hand to get up the ladder . This forum must be an arena of free speech and opinion ,healthy debate is good for us all and I would not like anyone to be 'shot down ' for airing their feelings and views. But I would ask those that can please go to the Witham game and give support to the boys shout and make the noise lets try and lift them to play as they did last Saturday. SEVEN TEARS BOY
I hope we don't get relegated, but of course there'd be the silver lining of trips to Wroxham, Needham Market, Dereham etc (though sadly not Burnham most likely, they're bottom of the North, though I go there many times anyway) Should or should we not blame Woolley and Noel? (and Smith) We'll start with 3 (goals and points) away to Witham.
andydick
I have to admit I'm a little surprised by the negativity but as someone once said, one man's junk is another man's treasure ... At the start of December we were dead and buried at the bottom. Since then (13 league games) we have: - Won 4 (Witham, Grays, VCD and Bury) - Drawn 5 (Plod, Leiston, Kingstonian, Tonbridge and Bognor) - Lost 4 ('Ricay, Maidstone, Wingate and Leatherhead) - Scored: 15 - Conceded: 14 We're mid-table on current form. We're improving. We can drag a lot more sides into the relegation fight if we pick up points from our games in hand - Witham, Lewes, Hampton, Tonbridge, Peacehaven and Canvey are all within reach .. and we have to play all of them before the end of the season. In fact, we've got to play 8 of the 9 sides immediately above us. Plenty of points to play for and plenty of opportunity to move up the table. Roll on Witham. cup of tea
We're in a relegation place and lose, not sure if the fans should celebrate that Andy??? However... I think we're easily good enough to get out of the situation and I believe we will. A win over Witham will be a fantastic result for us Saw that Hampton lost last night, their form isn't good at the moment - we just need to win one of our games in hand and we will be almost within striking distance of both Lewes and Hampton with a better goal difference. We know where the problem is, a lack of goals. We have the 5th best defensive record in the RPL, better than anyone outside the top 5. Only Bury have scored less than us however. We need to get the service into the strikers. George got two clear sights on goal on Saturday and buried them both.
andydick
FFS Simon, nobody's celebrating our position but our position is much better than it was 10 weeks ago .. and given the improvement I thought there'd be more optimism around than negativity. That's the point I was making - sorry if it was too difficult to understand !! As I said, I was surprised by the pessimism but that doesn't mean I take issue with it. I'd much rather folk have an opinion than spend all the time sitting on the fence !
cup of tea
Andy, I genuinely believe that we'll get out of this, I said that on the same post. I've also said previously that Leatherhead were in good form prior to our match. The British have a propensity to moan, I think we have to accept that people are going to moan on this forum. When Sutton were beating us at their place 4-0 a few years ago (might even have been before half time) - I walked past some of their fans moaning about their players. It's going to happen if we have a bad result. Whatever happens, I think the club will get stronger from this season, because of the adversity we've gone through. Ryan_Frost
I Really don't understand the thinking behind some fans views at the moment as to why they would want to post things on this forum about not wanting to go to home games and not get behind the team to help get us out of the current situation. Obviously I understand that our current league position isn't helping attendances and makes it harder to get people through the gate however surely this is the time to get behind the players and management to get out of this relegation battle and go forward together as a club. Personally I think Jimmy and the rest of the bench is doing a fantastic job with the team and the players they have brought in throughout the season. There is So much that some fans don't understand what goes on behind the scenes at the club to try and get funds available for the team, Such As Funerals during the week and functions at night. Also The Amount of volunteers every home game who give up there own free time so that we can have bigger and better things at AFC Hornchurch. We have amazing fans here at this club who all want AFC Hornchurch to succeed and be playing higher than the Ryman Premier & Yes Its Frustrating at times but we will stay up! This Is the time we all need to make as much noise as we can for the remainder of the season, Get behind the lads & help get them these vital points needed!!! Hopefully have a right good barmy army there Saturday At Witham & UP THE URCHINS!!!
