Billericay Town v Bury Town

Ryman League, Premier Division

Saturday 7 March 2015, 3:00pm

Match preview: http://billericaytownfc.wix.com/fans#!burytownhome/c25i

Would any of those that are attending the Bury Town match on Saturday like to meet in The Blue Boar or The Crown at 12?  Prior to this if anyone would like to meet for breakfast/brunch in Deli 37 I can recommend the breakfast in there.

Think I might go and have a pint or two in the clubhouse bar. Watch the Bradford v Reading game that's on BT Sport.

...which of course is the best way to support the club too.

I thought that was the rallying call after the Dulwich support thread?

Hope to be at this game, my first since Dulwich away in early January ! No videos of Maidstone or Aveley, James ? Would have liked to remind myself what our players look like ! ;-)

No.  I thought Maidstone were doing a video and one trip to Mill Field in a lifetime is enough...

So, would more people be interested in meeting in the Clubhouse before the match, and what time is the Reading v Bradford City match start?

Thought we played quite well first half but improved significantly after half time. Saps goal was class. When we pass the ball around and our midfield play together we are a good team, when we play over the top we do not look so good. Important week next week, hopefully two good wins and we can enjoy the last third of the season. Good to see more at the ground today, lets hope we can maintain if not improve numbers. A lovely day, a good win, a good afternoon.

Really good to see this young team expressing itself. Liburd seems to improve all the time and we need to hold onto him as he could be a real talent for the future. Fantastic goal by Sapps, the advanced midfield role seems to be suiting him.

But I think my man of the match was Ola Williams who really didn't put a foot wrong and looks a real class act at right back.

A good comfortable win in the end, other results around us went our way as well. Sappleton plays really well in the attacking midfield role as he can play in Liburd and Obafemi, who are both quick. Glad to see Nash score too, we played some nice football in the final third in the second half which makes me even more hopeful for the playoff push

Picking up on previous comments:

1) It took a while for the players to adjust to the conditions - the drying surface was giving an unpredictable bounce which made for difficult passing at times. As Craig said in his programme notes, you cannot always play the perfect passing game all the time.

2) The Referee and his Assistant made a complete hash up over the corner that resulted in their goal. However I have seen a lot worse performances this season, particularly in the Premier League.

3) Lets not put pressure on the players by talking about play-offs - if it happens, then it happens - lets just enjoy the football. COYB

A good performance by the lad's they seemed well up for it. Some class touches by Sappleton & well led by Halle.

Nice to see the sun shining at new lodge.
