littlehampton
Good news everybody!! Game ON - after all the hard work put in by groundsman Jack Lucas and his willing helpers - the pitch has passed inspection this morning, and our eagerly awaited RPL match against Leiston goes ahead at the QEII Stadium this afternoon. littlehampton
Hard to believe it is two weeks on since Town thumped Billericay 4-0 at the QE2 Stadium. We have not played since, so our guys have had a good break and will be fit and raring to go against our Suffolk opponents Leiston this afternoon. This is a 'BIG, BIG' match for both clubs, and both teams will be going flat-out for all three points to improve their own play-off place chances. It promises to be a tough, highly competitive encounter, but Town have a good home record, and having drawn 2-2 with The Blues at Victory Road back in October, will be looking to make home advantage, backed by a noisy home crowd.Very best of luck to Brad and the boys. Let's get out there and do the business guys!' COME ON YOU TOWN '

littlehampton
Not the score we were hoping for, but Town have had plenty of possession, so let's hope we can turn that into goals in the second half. Congratulations to Jordan Lockie who is making his 200th appearance for the club today.

littlehampton
Darren Mills (77mins) adds a second for Leiston, in a rare attack, after Town have dominated most of the second half. Looks an uphill task now!

littlehampton
Well,it wasn't to be today. A disappointing result for Brad, the boys, and all us Towners. Matches with Leiston are always too close to call, but this afternoon The Blues showed their credentials and won a key fixture in the chase for the play-offs. Credit to them. There are still plenty of points on offer, a good number of league fixtures left, and many twists and turns still to come. Town need to dust themselves down, put this reverse behind them, and deliver another Maidstone performance at Margate next Saturday. Would be very interested to hear other Towners thoughts on todays match performance.
andyetfc
I thought we were very fortunate with some of the decisions today. Credit to Leiston who appeared to have far too much time on the ball. As for their goalkeeper's kicks!!!
thecoldend
match highlights are below from The Cold End's camera...did we desrve a penalty kick right at the end of the game??? Looks like a well timed tackle by Broadley on Livings... people behind the goal had a better view - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u88LUKyIwE&feature=youtu.be
Father Jack
Absolutely nailed on penalty and red card. Would have been given as a foul anywhere else on the pitch. Was too late to matter though - and John Sands' first half booking for diving was also an incorrect decision
